Tata Engage, the international volunteering programme of Tata group, wound up its fifth Tata Volunteering Week (TVW5) on 4th April, 2016. TVW5, launched on 3rd March 2016 to coincide with the 177th birth anniversary of our founder Jamsetji Tata, offered a range of company-organized volunteering opportunities at 80 locations across the globe. It witnessed participation of senior leaders, employees, family members and retirees who came together to ‘Make it a million’ and contribute towards the target of clocking one million volunteering hours set by the Group Chairman Mr. Cyrus P Mistry at the AGLC last year.
TVW5 witnessed a flurry of exciting activities ranging from cleanliness drives to coral reef conservation; awareness camps to reusing plastic bottles to making solar night lights for slum dwellers and many more.
