It was my first engagement with a non-profit group and I am thankful to Tata ProEngage program for opening a new world of learning and contribution for me.

I got chance to work with Himjoli, a wonderful group of people. Everyone at Himjoli is determined to raise the living standards of farmers of Uttarakhand region. The engagement taught me the importance of giving back to society and caring for our brothers and sisters who just need a little push and support to come to speed in this challenging world.


Together with their management team we worked out and implemented go-to-market strategy for their offerings especially in nascent but competitive organic fresh fruit and vegetables segment. We created sales and marketing plan for both offline and online channels. We leveraged social media too (Facebook) for expanding reach to potential customers. It gives a unique satisfaction feeling that I could help those in need through whatever I could do for them.
This rich experience and a feeling of contribution turned me into a forever volunteering enthusiast. I am game for many more such associations through ProEngage and looking forward to the next season.

Volunteering has a charm of its own and the feeling for fulfilment after doing it cannot be explained in words. A must try for everyone.
