On September 18, 40 volunteers from Tata Electronics Private Limited dedicated 80 hours to dispersing over 10,000 seedballs in Melumalai forest, supporting biodiversity and forest regeneration. The seedballs, previously prepared by volunteers, contained native seeds aimed at restoring greenery in the region. A similar initiative was earlier carried out in Udedurgam forest on September 5, further strengthening the company’s commitment to environmental conservation and ecological balance.

As part of a healthcare initiative, Tata Electronics volunteers, along with experts from NIMHANS, conducted a mental wellbeing program for women at Nagamangalam Community Hall on September 19 and 25. The sessions addressed mental health awareness, parenting, family wellbeing, and suicide prevention, while also engaging participants through laughter exercises and interactive activities. With 39 volunteers contributing 69 hours, the program created a safe and supportive environment for women to share, learn, and strengthen their emotional resilience.

To mark Engineers’ Day on September 19, Tata Electronics volunteers visited Government Polytechnic College, Kelamangalam, where 67 employees contributed 134 hours. Students, guided by the volunteers, engaged in a hands-on DIY activity by building models and later presenting their learning on stage. The initiative also featured a career guidance session conducted by professionals, helping students gain both practical exposure and valuable insights into career pathways.

Across September 17, 20, 23, and 24, volunteers from Tata Electronics dedicated 155 hours to environmental initiatives. At Vidiyal Residency, 91 volunteers made over 6,800 seedballs using native seeds such as neem, tamarind, and pungam, which will later be dispersed in the Reserved Forest area of Krishnagiri District to support forest regeneration. In addition, more than 3,000 eco-friendly carry bags crafted by volunteers were distributed to vendors and farmers at the Farmers’ Market in Hosur, helping reduce single-use plastic and promoting sustainable practices.

On September 27, volunteers from Tata Nexarc visited Tamanna, a shelter for abandoned women in Najafgarh, New Delhi, where they organized a tree plantation drive with the residents. The initiative fostered environmental awareness while building a sense of community bonding. The day concluded with fun activities and the distribution of snacks and refreshments, spreading joy and togetherness among all participants.

On September 24, 24 TajSATS volunteers gathered at the unit premises for a seed ball making session, creating 120 seed balls. These are being preserved for sowing during an upcoming plantation drive in collaboration with Friends of Trees. The activity not only supported forest regeneration efforts but also strengthened collective responsibility towards restoring ecosystems.

On September 26, 14 volunteers visited Karuna Bhavan, where they distributed food packets and clothes to the residents. Some individuals, living with disabilities, were gently fed by hand—turning the act of service into an expression of care. More than just material support, the volunteers offered warmth, compassion, and the irreplaceable comfort of human connection.

On September 23 at Peninsula Business Park, Lower Parel, Mumbai, Tata AIA employees celebrated the spirit of Navratri with underprivileged children from the Oscar Foundation. Together, they decorated dandiyas, which were later gifted to the children—bringing festive joy, inclusivity, and cultural exchange. The activity not only sparked creativity but also strengthened emotional bonds, reinforcing values of empathy, generosity, and shared celebration. By engaging employees and children in this collaborative initiative, the program created lasting memories while bridging social gaps through care and togetherness.

On September 24, as part of Tata Volunteering Week, the Tata Teleservices team organized the Green Steps Plantation Drive at Gyanpeeth Hyderabad. Fourteen volunteers planted 20 saplings, each representing a step towards cleaner air, richer biodiversity, and a healthier tomorrow. The initiative highlighted the collective responsibility of preserving the environment while showcasing Tata’s values of responsibility, sustainability, and care for the community.

On September 24, Tata AIG’s MD, Amit Ganorkar, CHRO, Meghana Rao, KOM Leaders, and HR team spent a heartwarming day at NASEOH (National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped), engaging with around 120 persons with disabilities. The team explored nine diverse vocational verticals, witnessing the creativity and resilience of the beneficiaries in areas such as drawing, clay modeling, and chocolate making. The visit culminated with a joyful Garba dance, shared snacks, and reflection sessions that highlighted the remarkable talents and spirit of the participants. The experience fostered empathy, inclusion, and meaningful connections, reinforcing Tata AIG’s commitment to building an equitable society where every individual’s abilities are valued and celebrated.

On September 27, a blood donation camp was organized at Ginger Rajpur Road, Dehradun in collaboration with Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. A total of 22 volunteers participated in the initiative, contributing their time and effort to support patients in need of blood. The activity reflected a strong commitment to community well-being and reinforced the importance of collective responsibility in saving lives.

On September 24, Ginger Dehradun, part of the IHCL family, organized a grocery distribution drive to support families impacted by the devastating floods in Dehradun and nearby regions. Fifteen volunteers, in collaboration with local NGOs and the District Administration, distributed over 1,500 kg of essential supplies across Sahastradhara Road, Maldevta, and Sera Gaon, providing much-needed relief to households struggling with food scarcity. The initiative reinforced IHCL’s commitment to community care and resilience during natural calamities.

On September 23 and 25, TCS Chennai associates conducted virtual yoga sessions for 45 senior citizens from Sevalaya homes across four Tamil Nadu locations—Tirunindravur, Dharmapuri, Zamin Endathur, and Thanjavur. Led by the Yoga Council, the sessions included Pranayama and mindfulness practices, fostering physical fitness, emotional balance, and mental well-being among the elderly. Through this ongoing engagement, TCS aims to promote healthy living, boost confidence, and create a sense of community for seniors, while also inspiring associates to adopt wellness practices.

On Sept 22, 25 volunteers from TCS Kolkata and Tata Logistics, along with 14 villagers, planted 25 coconut saplings at the East Kolkata Wetlands. Guided by NEWS, they also attended a biodiversity awareness session and a 2 km conservation walk. Later, the team distributed stationery kits to 120 students at Kulti GSFP School, combining sustainability with community support.

On Sept 24, 40 TCS volunteers in Bangalore participated in a walkathon to raise awareness on patient safety. The event drew attention from corporate employees, local vendors, and the community. A short doctor’s session further emphasized safe healthcare practices, aligning with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.

On Sept 20, 25 CPG volunteers conducted a food distribution drive at Gandhi Govt Hospital, Hyderabad. The initiative supported SDG 2 by providing nutritious meals to vulnerable individuals and families, addressing hunger and food insecurity while promoting community well-being.

On Sept 25, 4 Tata Chemicals volunteers organized a talent search event at Okhamandal Block Primary School, Devbhoomi Dwarka. The initiative encouraged rural students to showcase their drawing and painting skills, identified promising young artists, and promoted cultural heritage while providing recognition and opportunities for mentorship.

On Sept 16, 12 TPSODL volunteers conducted a session at Panch Mangalam Dhoopbatti Center, Ganjam, for women from the SHG. The session focused on marketing and sales strategies to strengthen their brand, expand market reach, and promote sustainable livelihoods through practical guidance and mentorship.

At Anokha Dhaaga Production Center, Berhampur, 12 TPSODL volunteers engaged with SHG women in a special session under TVW’24. Held on Sept 15, the activity focused on marketing and sales strategies, helping participants strengthen their brand, expand outreach, and boost entrepreneurial skills for sustainable livelihoods.

As part of TVW’24, TPSODL CSR organized a plantation drive at the Bissamcuttack Subdivision, Rayagada. On Sept 18, 30 volunteers, including employees and local participants, planted saplings to promote environmental sustainability and spread awareness on tree conservation for a healthier ecosystem. The drive also saw the participation of Mr. Narottam Pattnaik, Rayagada Circle Head.

At Govt. High School, Medical Campus, Berhampur, TPSODL CSR organized an Energy Conservation Awareness session under the Club Enerji initiative. Held on Sept 10, 17 volunteers engaged students on energy-saving practices, responsible electricity use, and electrical safety, fostering sustainable habits among young learners.

A plantation drive was organized at Gurukul International Public School, Berhampur, where 29 volunteers and students joined hands to plant saplings under the nationwide campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0. Conducted on Sept 17, the initiative promoted environmental consciousness and collective action for a greener future. The event also saw the participation of Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, and representatives from the Odisha Forest Department, Ganjam.

At Primary School, Haladakhola, Bhanjanagar, 40 volunteers organized a plantation drive on Sept 19 in alignment with the nationwide campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0. Each sapling was named after a student, symbolizing a bond between children and nature while fostering awareness of environmental sustainability.

On Sept 14, 8 TPSODL volunteers organized a cloth donation drive in rural villages of Mohana, Gajapati. The initiative reached underprivileged families, providing them with essential clothing to meet daily needs. Beyond material support, the activity spread compassion and dignity, fostering a sense of care and solidarity within the community.

On Sept 12, 22 TPSODL volunteers visited Marillac Mercy Old Age Home, Berhampur, as part of Tata Volunteering Week 2024. The team spent meaningful time with the elderly residents, engaging in conversations, listening to their stories, and sharing light-hearted moments. Small gestures of care and companionship brought smiles to the seniors, creating a sense of warmth, respect, and belonging. As part of Tata Volunteering Week 24, TPSODL CSR organized a special health check-up camp at Marillac Mercy Old Age Home, Berhampur. Fourteen employee volunteers, along with TPSODL’s in-house doctor, conducted detailed medical examinations for the elderly residents. The initiative, held on Sept 18, ensured timely medical attention, early detection of health concerns, and provided valuable guidance on preventive care. By combining compassion with medical support, the camp reinforced TPSODL’s commitment to the well-being of senior citizens while fostering a culture of care and responsibility within the community.

TPSODL organized a cleanliness drive at the Jeypore Ghat View Point in Koraput, a well-known tourist destination. On Sept 18, 50 enthusiastic volunteers dedicated 200 hours to restore the beauty of the scenic spot by clearing waste and promoting responsible tourism. The activity not only revived the natural charm of the ghats but also highlighted the importance of collective efforts in preserving the environment. Senior leaders Mr. Manmatha Nath Mishra and T. Tapanrasmi Subudhi also joined the initiative, further motivating the team and strengthening the spirit of community participation.

At Bidyutpuri Colony in Berhampur City Circle, TPSODL volunteers carried out a Cleanliness Drive on Sept 21. A total of 35 volunteers dedicated 140 hours to cleaning the locality, removing waste, and spreading awareness about the importance of hygiene and a healthy environment. As part of Tata Volunteering Week-24, TPSODL organized a Blood Donation Camp at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Rayagada. On Sept 23, 28 volunteers came forward to donate 28 units of blood, dedicating 140 hours to the noble cause. The initiative played a vital role in supporting healthcare needs and potentially saving precious lives, reflecting TPSODL’s strong commitment to community welfare and well-being.

As part of Tata Volunteering Week-24, TPSODL CSR organized a special screening of Tanvi the Great at Gautam Cinema Hall, Berhampur on Sept 23. The event saw the participation of TPSODL CEO Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, Shmt. Manju Garg, BeMC Commissioner Sri Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke (IAS), and Ganjam District Malaria Officer Mr. Debashis Pattnaik, alongside over 600 attendees including students, specially-abled children, employees, and government officials. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about autism, fostering empathy, inclusion, and greater community understanding. The interactive session not only highlighted the challenges faced by individuals with autism but also celebrated their unique potential, leaving a lasting impact on participants.

On September 6, 17 volunteers from Tata Power dedicated 34 hours to a wall painting activity at Janigora School. Guided by IMD Head Neezam Khan, the team transformed blank walls into vibrant murals showcasing themes of education, nature, and community spirit. Students actively joined in the painting, making it an engaging and collaborative effort. The initiative not only beautified the school premises but also fostered a joyful, creative environment that inspires learning and growth.

On September 9, Tata Power Jojobera organized a Mega Plantation Drive at Netaji Subhash Awasiya School, Golmuri. A total of 34 volunteers dedicated 17 hours to the initiative, planting 50 trees to enhance local biodiversity and combat climate change. The drive, led by Environment Head Mukul Sing, Project Head Vikrant Singh, and CHP Head Rakesh Bhadoriya, also engaged students and community members, spreading awareness about the vital role of trees in building a greener and healthier ecosystem.

Tata Power Jojobera Division organized a Sports Equipment Distribution Drive at Sarjamda Football Ground, where 11 volunteers dedicated 22 hours to the cause. On Sept 22, footballs, jerseys, cones, and other training gear were handed over to aspiring young players. Led by Head of the Chemical Department Mr. D.K. Singh, the initiative aimed to empower youth, promote physical well-being, and strengthen teamwork and community engagement through sports.

At Patikhali SSP School, Tata Power organized a Health Camp to provide basic check-ups and raise awareness on preventive healthcare for the local community. On Sept 11, volunteers engaged with participants to encourage healthy practices and ensure access to free health assessments. The initiative focused on promoting community health and well-being by offering timely guidance and preventive care support.

On Sept 5, Tata Power’s CSR department organized a Grocery Donation Drive at Vivekananda Mission Ashram, Chaitanyapur. A total of 11 volunteers dedicated 22 hours to distributing essential items such as rice, pulses, and vegetables, directly supporting the residents of the ashram. Mr. Anil Kumar Kaul (Chief Haldia) and his family also joined the initiative, spending time with the community members and fostering a spirit of care and connection. On Sept 15, Tata Power-DDL organized an ABHA Session at Gulabi Bagh with the participation of 7 volunteers dedicating 3 hours. The session was conducted by Mr. Arvind, Mr. Anil, and Mr. Vivek from SCG on safety and POD, and by Ms. Geetanjali Tripathi and Mr. Bharat Kumar Chhabra from SIG on cleanliness and the importance of ethics in life. Around 150 ABHAs actively engaged in group activities and discussions on various soft skills, making the session interactive and impactful.

On Sept 18, as part of TVW-24, the Legal Team of Tata Power-DDL visited the STC Center at Sarvodaya Vidlaya FU Block, Pitampura. Fourteen volunteers dedicated 3 hours to distribute stationery supplies and refreshments to the students. A Health Camp was organized to mark the inauguration of the new MCD Dispensary at Sultanpuri C-Block on September 17. Fifty volunteers dedicated 6 hours to the initiative, which benefited 138 participants from the local community. The occasion was graced by Ms. Madhabi Burma (Chief Administrative Medical Officer), Mr. Vinay Kumar (HoG SIG), and Mr. Suresh Kumar Lakra (Executive), along with Eduquest Mobile Dispensary staff and the local Asha Worker. A Cancer Screening Camp was organized at the Wazirpur Vocational Training Centre (VTC) on September 16, engaging 50 volunteers who dedicated 6 hours to the initiative. The camp benefited 121 participants by focusing on early detection and spreading awareness about common cancers, ensuring timely treatment and improved health outcomes. Supported by the Eduquest Mobile Dispensary Team, ABHAs, and staff from the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, the drive successfully mobilized the community and provided valuable health education. Mr. Suresh Kumar Lakra (Executive) also participated, highlighting Tata Power-DDL’s commitment to bridging healthcare gaps and promoting community well-being.

On September 19, employees from BA & HR Compliance, HR ES & Payroll, and F&A Payroll Accounting teams visited Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, CC Colony, Gud Mandi, as part of Tata Volunteering Week activities. A total of 25 volunteers dedicated 3 hours to engaging with the Meri Pathshala students and distributing tiffin boxes with snacks.
