Tata Elxsi organized a Tree Sustenance Activity in collaboration with BAIF NGO on 6th September 2025 at Lakkihalli, Tiptur District, Karnataka. A total of 41 volunteers contributed 656 hours towards nurturing previously planted saplings, enhancing soil health, water retention, and biodiversity. This initiative not only strengthened ecosystem resilience but also fostered community ownership and environmental stewardship. The activity supported key causes including Climate Action, Biodiversity Conservation, Natural Resource Management, and Community Engagement, aligning directly with our CSR goals.

In an initiative towards enlightening the youth of the Okhamandal community about government schemes pertaining to competitive exam preparation support, four volunteers from Tata Chemicals Limited, in collaboration with local training institutions, conducted an informative session at the Manek Defense Academy, Gujarat on September 8. Aspiring youth gained essential insights on scholarships, coaching support, financial assistance programs and skill development opportunities offered by the government. Through this session, the volunteers hoped to equip the Okhamandal youth with access to resources, systematic career planning strategies, and increased chances of success in competitive exams. Among the 20 young, bright minds who participated, many of them actively asked questions and enrolled for scheme guidance.

This initiative by 26 volunteers from Tata Chemicals Limited was a step towards enhancing ecological sustainability. By planting indigenous flora at a plantation site in Mithilapur, the volunteers contributed to restoring natural habitat, enhancing soil health, supporting local wildlife and facilitating climate resilience. The initiative aligns with the company’s broader conservation goals and community-driven efforts to combat the negative impacts of deforestation and habitat loss. This successful program was graced by the presence of Mr. Rino Raj, Vice President and Site Head of TCL, Mithilapur and Mr. Mukesh Solanki, Head CSR, Mithilapur.

Besides symbolizing the need for green landscapes, the initiative also stood for the human collective responsibility to preserve nature for the future generations and harmonize hospitality with sustainability.

The lives of stray dogs can be lonely at best and traumatic at worst, with thousands of strays being left unattended and uncared for on the streets. Team Taj Taal Kutir’s noble initiative, “Collars and Care”, aimed at safeguarding stray dogs in the neighborhood. A total of eight volunteers dedicated 2.5 hours towards this cause, tying reflective or radium collars around stray dogs’ necks to protect them from road accidents at night. They also provided them with food to ensure their well-being. Besides promoting compassion and responsibility towards stray animals, the activity also helped the hotel strengthen its bond with the local community.

In an initiative to empower young girls to defend themselves and ensure their safety, 14 Taj Taal Kutir volunteers conducted an interactive session, “Sahay: Empowering Young Minds with the Strength of Safety”. Organized at the Society for Community Intervention and Research (SERVE) on September 2, the session welcomed female participants aged 6–18 years, focusing on personal safety and security and equipping them with the awareness, confidence and practical tools for self-protection. Facilitated by Taj Taal Kutir’s Security Manager, the program fostered community ties and reinforced the hotel’s commitment to creating safer environments for young women.

A total of 21 volunteers and 13 contract beneficiaries stepped forward to donate, reflecting a shared commitment to health and humanity. Beyond addressing an urgent public need, the initiative fostered awareness on the importance of voluntary blood donation and collective responsibility for community well-being. The camp also received the support of senior leadership, with Plant HODs and Plant Head, Mr. Ravi Hosur, visiting the camp to oversee safety measures and encourage participation.

To highlight the importance of balanced diets, healthy eating habits and nutrition, Tata Chemicals Limited organized a Nutrition Week program on 6 September at NOIS classes in Varvala village. Three volunteers led engaging sessions that combined discussions, demonstrations and fun activities to help students understand the importance of balanced diets and healthy eating habits. Conducted in collaboration with Project Vruddhi and ICDS, the initiative also saw participation from teachers, ICDS staff, and community members, making it a collective effort to promote healthier lifestyles among children. Active participation from the students spoke volumes about the program’s overall success.

Mumbai’s vast coastlines are the city’s lifelines—for tourism and livelihood. In an initiative to preserve one of Mumbai’s popular beaches, 14 Tata Projects volunteers joined the Post-Visarjan Jallosh clean-up drive on September 13 at Prabhadevi beach, Dadar, in collaboration with WWF and Project Mumbai. Together, they collected and segregated over 120 kgs of plastic waste, making a tangible impact on marine health while spreading awareness about sustainability. The drive not only contributed to a cleaner coastline but also inspired reflection on everyday waste practices, ending with a shared sense of purpose—and refreshments for the volunteers.

As part of the post-Ganesh Visarjan efforts on September 13, ten Tata Teleservices volunteers joined WWF and Jallosh NGO at Juhu Koliwada beach for a dedicated clean-up drive. In just twenty hours, the team cleared 463.9 kgs of plastic waste from the shoreline, all of which will be recycled to create benches for the beach. The initiative not only restored the coastal stretch but also demonstrated how collective action can transform waste into something meaningful for the community.

The cycles were then gifted to the children, offering them greater access to education and mobility. On September 11, Tata Motors Limited, Pantnagar, strengthened its commitment to education by dedicating a ‘School in a Box’ e-learning module to Government Girls School, Nagla, benefiting students from classes VI–X with enhanced digital access to learning. As part of the same initiative, ten volunteers also conducted sessions on nutrition, health, and career guidance, while senior leaders—including Mr. Soumitra De (Head Product Line, Commercial Vehicle), Mr. Nishant Srivastava (General Manager, SCV, Pune), and Mr. Raju Chaudhari (Head Launch Management, Pantnagar)—interacted with the students. To further support their well-being, nutrition kits were distributed to underweight girl students, making the effort a holistic step towards healthier, brighter futures.
