Volunteers from TSK spent quality time with the underprivileged children of Kalinganagar, Gandhinagar Basti, Jaipur Road on the evening of September 5, 2025, personally engaging them in fun activities and a cultural event. Moreover, they distributed study materials, sweets and snacks to the children — whose faces were as radiant with smiles as their bright futures ahead.

Volunteers from the NINL HR and admin teams decided to spread some joy to the little ones at Godigotha Primary School. Visiting the school on September 6, 2025, they personally interacted with the children and conducted engaging activities, including a quiz, opening doors to new pathways of knowledge. They went on to distribute drawing stationery to all the students for a creative poster-making competition, redefining “learning meets fun”.

Stories have always acted as enchanting escapes for young minds, while also teaching them valuable worldly lessons. Volunteers from TSK explored this unique power of storytelling by organizing interactive storytelling sessions with children from government schools. Also, from September 5 to 10, 5–6 volunteers participated each day to paint blackboard surfaces on classroom walls — a significant step towards educational infrastructure.

In the modern context, blood in time saves nine. And volunteers from Tata Motors Limited, Pantnagar contributed to easy blood access by organizing a blood donation camp at the Occupational Health Center, Pantnagar plant. Collaborating with the Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar Memorial Blood Bank, Rudrapur and the Devki Nandan Joshi Memorial Blood Bank, Haldwani, the volunteers witnessed several footfalls from enthusiastic donors, making the event a major success.

In a pertinent initiative towards facilitating alternative incomes and livelihoods, Ms. Puja Devi, ICCSPL Coordinator, together with an external trainer, set out to inculcate the skill of ornament making among local women and youth. A total of 22 women and young individuals participated in this activity held at the Kellyden Tea Estate, learning to design opulent ornaments using locally available materials. Through this two-day session, the volunteers hope to usher local communities towards independent income generation.

Celebrating the spirit of volunteering, 73 volunteers from Tata Technologies organized a blood donation drive on September 9, 2025, at the Hinjewadi campus in Pune. The drive witnessed footfalls of several benevolent donors, including senior leaders such as Company Secretary Vikrant Gandhe, who encouraged their team members to partake in this noble cause. Together, the volunteers contributed to facilitating easy access to blood — a lifeline during emergency situations.

Playing a sport is more than just a pastime — it does wonders to your physical and mental well-being. To encourage budding sports champions, TMILL volunteers organized an archery tournament at KGBV School, Sundarnagar on September 6. The event aimed to promote KGBV Sundarnagar archers and prepare them for the upcoming Khelo Jharkhand competition. Winners were encouraged in the form of awards and the motivation to continue aiming high. Along with 8 TMILL volunteers, 2 family members were involved in this stellar initiative.

Approximately 80–100 individuals with physical disabilities call Cheshire Home, Sundarnagar their abode. As part of a CSR outreach program, TMILL volunteers became guests at this home on September 6, sharing moments of joy through small but significant gestures, such as distributing essential food items. Conversations and laughter lit up the home and its residents’ eyes, providing much-needed rejuvenation for the volunteers and the home inhabitants alike. As part of this initiative, the volunteers also conducted an assessment to support the development of an integrated farming system — a sustainable model designed to meet daily needs (vegetables, fruits, fish) through organic sources and generate income opportunities for the home.

Financial literacy is an integral part of women empowerment. On September 6, Volunteers from TCS Kolkata organized an impactful session on women empowerment, money management and relevant government policies in an initiative to impart financial literacy among women. The discussion was highly interactive, encouraging participants to share their experiences and ask questions, fostering a collaborative learning environment. The interaction also fostered a deep sense of community, wherein stories were exchanged over delicious lunch prepared lovingly by the women of the ashram. A heartfelt commitment to meeting over more sessions concluded this eventful day.

As part of their recent HOPE initiative, 10 associates from ASDA and Co. visited the St. Jude Child Cancer Center, a pediatric cancer NGO, and donated pulses through the drive. They also spent quality time with the children, trying to gift them moments of joy and laughter through fun-filled activities. Supplying raw materials for nutritious food and quality time for emotional support, the drive aimed to foster physical as well as mental well-being.

In a world where timely access to blood can save lives, the blood donation camp by TCS Chennai managed to collect 143 units of blood on September 4 and 5. Moreover, 157 volunteers assisted the support staff members at the TCS Chennai office to undergo wellness checks, reinforcing the company’s care and compassion towards its extended workforce and commitment to a culture of wellbeing. The day also consisted of other small events, including paper bag making and sapling distribution with unit business leaders and TBEM assessors.

Under Tata’s flagship Each One Empower One program, TCS Bengaluru volunteers conducted an enriching session on key citizen entitlement for several support and contract staff members — including the security guards, gardeners and the housekeeping staff — employed at the Tata Solar Power and Passport Seva Kendra office premises. The activity sought to build awareness regarding various pertinent government schemes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Bima Yojana and the Ayushman Bharat Health Scheme. Considering the program’s success and benefits, Mr. Manish Gupte, CSR Head, Tata Power, has expressed his interest in expanding this program to other regions. After the program concluded, many beneficiaries expressed immense joy and gratitude to Tata Power and TCS for organizing the session.

Parents are typically a child’s first teachers, but some children have no parents to guide them, and they deserve equal opportunities as any other child — to study well and dream big, secure admissions to reputed colleges and build successful careers. With this thought in mind, 10 Prerana volunteers launched the Happy Home Buddy Project with 40 children (including 10 children with disabilities) at the Happy Home Orphanage, Kolar on September 3. The program comprises a 6-month structured journey, with the children segregated based on their age groups (ages 1–12 and ages 12–18). Helping children build life skills, develop personal hygiene, prepare for interviews and exams, etc., the program commits to giving orphaned children an equal chance to thrive and become the young leaders India needs.

In a blood donation drive held by the Voltas Bhubaneswar branch, 17 units of blood were collected. The donors comprised 9 payroll employees and 8 off-role ones, participating from various divisions. This successful event was organized by Biswa Ranjan Mohanty (TMM, East-2) and admin Sarthak Mohapatra of the Sambad group, in collaboration with the RED CROSS.
