TajSats Air Catering Ltd, Mumbai volunteers conducted an awareness session on women health and hygiene for young girls at the DN Nagar BMC School, Andheri, Mumbai.

A team of volunteers from TajSats Delhi visited Janaki Dham, an old age home in Dwarka. The volunteers distributed snack boxes, old blankets and blazers to the elderly. They engaged in heartfelt conversations with the residents and spent quality time.

Volunteers from TajSats Kolkata conducted a seed plantation drive in the periphery of Airport Police Station, Kolkata. The seeds used were all collected and processed in-house from the vegetable preparation section of the hotel kitchen. Various kinds of seeds were collected and planted such as mango, dates, jack fruit, capsicum, pumpkin, and papaya.

Volunteers along with their family members and retired Tata colleagues participated in a beach clean-up drive organized by TCSRD and Indian Coastguard at Okha.

TML volunteers celebrated World Literacy Day with adolescent youth and drop-out students. They unveiled the wall magazine created by the students and highlighted the importance of literacy. The youth performed a dance and drama on the theme ‘importance of honesty’. The volunteers also screened a video on decision making and building confidence, conducted a quiz and distributed prizes to the winners.

A team of volunteers participated in a tree plantation drive at Gumariapal village, Kharagpur. They planted 465 saplings of fruits such as Mango, Guava and Lemon. In 3 years, the orchard will provide additional income once the plants start bearing fruits. Meanwhile, the same patch can be utilized for inter-cropping of vegetables.

A river clean-up drive was organized at Kansabati riverbank, Kharagpur, where 60 TML volunteers participated in cleaning of the riverbank. They picked up the litter including thermocol, papers, glass and segregated the waste.

Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd volunteers in collaboration with Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services Department conducted a comprehensive programme on firefighting skills for students of Swami Vivekananda School Campus, Bangalore. They showed techniques to manage fire at domestic and commercial locations, indoor and outdoor fire through live demonstrations along with the do’s & don’ts during emergency fire management. They also spoke about emergency evacuation and first-aid.

TPSSL conducted a seminar on renewable energy and its importance for the students of SVKP Polytechnic Students, Bangalore. The activity included a practical experience through a plant visit of the solar module manufacturing plant and knowledge sharing of various functions like HSE, HR & Admin followed by a classroom session of eminent speakers which included the CEO Mr. Mahesh Paranjpe.

TPSSL conducted a mega tree plantation drive in collaboration with the Karnataka Forest Department and local village panchayat. Over 100 volunteers planted 502 saplings in an identified land of 2.5 acres at Maya Sandra Village, Bangalore.

TPSSL volunteers visited Karunashraya, a hospice facility for cancer patients. They joined hands with the staff to support the centre’s daily routine like canteen management, cleaning, administrative and maintenance activities, front office management, gardening and housekeeping.

CFO, Girish Hadkar - IT Head, Simantika Mukherjee - West Regional Head HR and Sanjay Agarwal - Project Head actively participated in the activity.

TML Pantnagar volunteers conducted an awareness session on financial literacy for SHG members and shared the importance of book- keeping, digital transaction, use of meeting apps like MS Team, Zoom etc. Representative from RBI Rural Incubation Centre also joined the session and shared knowledge on branding handmade product and market linkage.

Volunteers from TML Pantnagar conducted a session for mothers, women and young girls on food and nutrition. They spoke about low-cost nutritious foods and grains easily available in the market. A rally was organized in the community where women and TML volunteers spread the message on cleanliness, hygiene and health. Additionally, they donated lemon tree saplings to all the women.
