IHCL volunteers conducted a seed plantation drive in the periphery of Airport Police Station, Kolkata. The seeds used were all collected and processed in-house from the vegetable preparation section of the hotel kitchen. Various kinds of seeds were collected and planted such as mango, dates, jack fruit, capsicum, pumpkin, and papaya.

To mark the International Day of Charity, Taj Aravali Resort & Spa volunteers organised a collection drive in their office. They placed three boxes across their offices and invited contributions of any kind. They collected items were then sorted and donated to the NGO, Bhujra Government School and Aashadham Ashram Udaipur.

Taj Aravali Resort & Spa volunteers took the initiative to promote the disappearing ancient art and encourage the local artisans. They organized a pottery session with a local artisan who demonstrated the process of pottery and shared meaningful insights about Terracotta art. Additionally, the team has engaged the local artisans to make Diwali Diyas and other pottery work for the hotel.

The children were taught how to respond to a fire emergency, provided skills on fire prevention, fire detection, and fire suppression. Tata Power CSR team along with volunteers visited the Cheshire Home Sundar Nagar Jamshedpur, and interacted with over 50 residents who are either orphans or elderly or live with disabilities. The volunteers provided them with essential items such as groceries, fruits, detergents, soaps and snacks. The volunteers from the Electrical Engineering department organized an impactful session for villagers. The session covered reduction of per capita electricity bill. Volunteers spoke about the safety aspects to prevent accidents, fires, and injuries due to mismanagement and mishandling of electric energy. Doable tips to maintain electrical safety at home are shared by volunteers i.e., regular inspection, outlet safety, appliance care, extension cord care etc.

The volunteers helped organize a slogan writing contest among 32 high school students of Remedial Coaching Centers on ‘HINDI DIWAS’. Volunteers from Tata Steel Long Products, Joda came together to tackle hygiene concerns in the nearby Bileipada market. The volunteers collaborated on a cleanliness campaign encompassing the market area, which included cleaning shop fronts, streets, and alleys. The CSR department coordinated the event, where over 50 enthusiastic volunteers, including employees and their family members, actively participated in manually clearing litter from the location. Additionally, local shopkeepers received guidance on the advantages of maintaining clean premises for their businesses.
