In Uttiramerur-Kanchipuram, Chennai, 50 teachers were trained in computers and communications skills A lecture was conducted on how to prepare for interviews for 32 underprivileged engineering students An awareness programme was organised for differently abled children from Bal Kalyan Sanstha A lecture on environmental concerns was held for 75 eight standard students of Corporation School of Pashan in Pune Fun events were organised for primary school students in Vasundhara in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Remedial classes for children were conducted at a centre run by Angel Express at Bandra, Mumbai Sessions on environmental awareness and activities supporting women empowerment were arranged at Waje village near Panvel A blood donation camp was organised with help from the Tata Memorial Hospital A visit was made to TCS Maitree's advanced computer training for the visually impaired

Shanthini M.S.: As part of the Tata Engage programme, TCE was involved in community service. I was part of the team and was involved in conducting classes for communication skills for village teachers in Uttiramerur village. Another programme was organised for schoolchildren and a self-defense workshop was held for women. The response from the villagers were good and they were keen on learning. At the end of the day we had great satisfaction that time was spent in a worthwhile manner.
