Saturday, 6th of September 2014, was a day of sheer ecstasy for the underprivileged children of two organizations of Kolkata, when TSPDL organized a Kids’ Carnival for them. Cruising through the day began with the gathering of children and volunteers for the event, which consisted of TSPDL employees, their families and retired employees. The venue was chosen as the school grounds of FAPS, Kolkata. The school management was too happy to host the show and with their active participation, the event was held. A fulfilling breakfast led to the sports events starting with Flat Race, then Biscuit Race to Relay Race to Football Match to Girls’ Games – all one after the other with accelerating enthusiasm. A sumptuous lunch for the children followed at the venue. To feed in their tired bodies and ever-spirited souls, TSPDL volunteers organized a magic show followed by a kickboxing demo show and ended with a singing competition between the two organizations. Wonderful prizes to the winners of the various events and beautiful mementos for all the children were given away. Children sang and danced and swayed away bidding goodbye to all of us. Oh what a day it was! TSPDL always feels nice to see big smiles in those small faces. May God bless them!
