Volunteers of Rallis India Lote Unit conducted a general quiz competition at Nutan Vidyalaya, Lote for their 9th standard students. They prepared 20 questions related to district level, state level and national level matters. 52 students participated and at the end of the session prizes were distributed to the winners.

Team Sampla undertook an initiative once again by celebrating International Women’s Day. They recognized and awarded the female talents who brought glory and laurels for Tehsil Sampla (Haryana). All the visitors, staff and workers of the unit were welcomed by the Sr. Manager, TGBL with an introductory speech on the occasion and dwelled upon upliftment and contribution to society by women. Each achiever was honoured with a trophy and a stroll.

A career counselling session was organised in APC School. Students of class X attended this programme. A set of questionnaires was prepared containing various areas of interest in different fields. These questions were shared with the students and were asked to mark their individual preferences. Finally, an assessment paper was given to each student which helped them to identify their areas of interest in career building. The volunteers also enlightened them about various courses available after class XII in different fields. The programme was an immense success and all the students were keen to gather as much information as possible.

A family member of Rallis India Limited Ankleshwar Unit conducted a yoga session at Sardar Patel Primary School. The volunteer demonstrated different yoga asanas and explained children the benefits of yoga. Children and the school staff also did the yoga asanas along with the instructor.

Few of them shared their experiences of how they climbed the ladder of success, despite the struggles of life and motivated the women of community to fulfil their dreams. Short games were played and winners were awarded.

A team of 22 volunteers made a visit to 3 vocational training centres at CSA Colony, Inderlok and N Block Mangolpuri. Volunteers inspired the students to perform different activities like small acts, poem-recitation and songs in front of class. They shared their experiences with tutorial class students and motivated them to study well. Students of computer class and beautician class shared their learnings. Valuable tips and tricks for basics of computer was shared with computer class students. Goodies were also distributed amongst them.

Tata Power - DDL, in association with Prajapita Brahm Kumari’s organized drug de-addiction camp for the needy ones at Lal Bagh, JJ cluster in North Delhi. Organizing team with help from employee volunteers made home visits to the residents of the clusters motivating them to attend the camp and avail benefits from it. The team of 15 volunteers also counselled the attendants of the camp and free homeopathic medicines were distributed to them.

Volunteers visited the Mercy home for HIV positive affected kids and grown up adults at Mercy Home Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore. The orphanage take care of 30 residents from 3 years to 22 years of age. The volunteers gave the children some clothes, shampoo and tooth paste. They also shared snacks. They started with a prayer and then played music. Few kids actively participated and danced to the music.

To commemorate National Safety Week, a safety flag was hoisted and a safety pledge was taken. Safety badges were distributed to all the employees. Employees shared their views on safety & wellbeing of the organization. Safety PPEs exhibition was held where employees showed a keen interest to see and improve their knowledge on use of safety equipment. Various events were held such as Safety quiz, Rapid fire round of questions, competitions in use of SCBA Set, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hydrant use etc. Other events like poster competition, essays writing & safety slogans were also held.

The volunteer conducted a motivational session for SNDT students and spoke about how to build a strong career and what it takes to be successful working women. The volunteers carried placards in a radius of 4 kms and explained the importance of road safety, life safety, blood donation, saving of water & many other social messages. A flash mob was enacted at the main junction on the criticality of not wearing a helmet while riding bike, dangers of drunken driving, talking over phone while driving, etc. 50 members including local police station force participated in this initiative.
