A team of 26 staff members participated in a plantation drive. They planted them near the Indraprastha Society and were made aware of environmental responsibility & importance of plantation.

JUSCO Procurement, PSD, PHHS & CSR volunteers organized Health & Hygiene awareness for Female of Parbatipur village. They distributed sanitary napkins of females and aware about that how to use and disposal sanitary napkins properly.
 
  Painting and play time session Indian Hotels  |  Varanasi
 
An activity was conducted with the students of a government primary school at Bhikharipur, DLW Road, Varanasi. The theme of the event was ‘Painting and Play’. Out of 52 students enrolled there in the classes from Standard One to Five total 43 students participated with enthusiasm and motivation. The paintings made by the students are amazing and depict their talent, creativity and imaginary power on paper with remarkable combinations of variety of colours.
 
  Drawing & carom board competition JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
 
JUSCO Administration & Security department volunteers organized Carom board competition for class IV- V students and drawing competition for class I- III students at Primary School-7. All the children participated enthusiastically involved in the activities. Volunteers also distributed crayons for drawing competition; winners were distributed prizes and sweets each of them.

JUSCO PHHS department volunteers organized a Pulse Polio inauguration programme at different centres. The children were given polio drops to prevent getting affected in future. The volunteers involved were enthusiastic.
 
  Cleanliness drive Ginger Hotels  |  Ahmedabad
 
A team of 27 members from Ginger Ahmedabad conducted a cleanliness drive for the upkeep of neighbourhood by cleaning the areas near the hotel including pathways. Four hours long activity was a demonstration of complete dedication to serve for good environment.

JUSCO Finance & Account department volunteers organized a Health & Hygiene awareness session for students at New Primary School Lanka Tola. Volunteers discussed about personal health and importance of cleanliness in our life and distributed sweets, biscuit packets and goodies to all the children. The team spent quality time with all the children which left unforgettable memories for all.

15 volunteers team from Ginger Hotel Jamshedpur organised games, a quiz competition, a knowledge sharing activity with the school and teachers. During the session they spent time with them and did one on one session.
 
  Pulse polio programme Rallis India  |  Lote
 
A group of Five volunteers from Rallis India Lote unit participated in the Pulse Polio Eradication programme along with Rotary Club, Lote at Primary Health Centre and nearby villages. All the volunteers assembled at primary health centre and along with the medical team they went to the nearby villages and helped the medical team to provide polio dose to the children.

19 volunteers participated in a cleanliness drive organised by Ginger Hotel Manesar. They cleaned the footpaths of main road towards IMT industrial area opposite to Rockland Hospital and park area adjacent to the hotel premises. They received appreciation from local public for this initiative.
 
  Making products with women Tata Communications  |  Kolkata
 
On International Women’s Day, Tata communications volunteers from Kolkata office learned to make the various art and craft articles i.e. Paper Craft, Jute items, Boutique clothes, Handmade bags and Jewellery from the partner NGO Artemis fountain foundation. Volunteers made the artefacts and helped to display all these materials made by volunteers and NGO in the cafeteria for sale to support the women beneficiaries for their livelihood.
 
  Making eco-friendly waste disposable bags Tata Communications  |  Pune
 
170 volunteers from Tata Communications Pune came together to make more than 850 eco-friendly sanitary waste disposable bags to celebrate International Women’s Day. These bags will be distributed among local communities, adolescent girls in schools and hostels to help permeate the message of safe disposal of sanitary waste.
 
  Mentoring sessions for women Tata Communications  |  Chennai
 
120 volunteers in Chennai observed International Women’s Day with 25 underprivileged and physically challenged young women to instil in them the spirit of pride and joy through mentoring sessions. The volunteers also engaged in hands on activities and ended the day with a cake cutting ceremony.

Tata Projects, Hyderabad has taken an initiative on creating awareness on health, hygiene, water and sanitation in the RO plant installed village to make a positive contribution to the society. Safe Water is supplied through a mobile water purification unit with RO technology in the village. This program helped in creating awareness to the rural community who are partially aware of Safe drinking water related to health and clean sanitation. Volunteers has taken door to door feedback from the beneficiaries in the prescribed format on the utilization of RO purified water.

Ginger Hotels Tirupur volunteers created an awareness program related to road safety. 12 Volunteers from Ginger Tirupur undertook a rally of 2 km.
 
  Cleanliness drive Indian Hotels  |  Hyderabad
 
A cleanliness drive was conducted in the adjacent area of the hotel which is a large open area which is surrounded by local populace. The area has been found to become a temporary garbage dump with no clearance or cleaning happening. So, this area was identified and the entire team of 30 volunteers armed with necessary equipment descended on the area and started clearing the garbage. It was indeed a tiresome yet a rewarding experience for the volunteers especially when the neighbourhood residents started talking amongst themselves that they should avoid throwing garbage in the open.

The volunteers conducted a road safety awareness drive in their area. They talked to the drivers and riders to maintain safety.
 
  Visit to a school Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
The plant head and other employees visited Tupudang village and interacted with children of pre-matric coaching classes, beneficiaries of scholarship schemes and SHG members. In an interactive session with the community they encouraged the local community to take initiatives for their own development. They also visited the houses where Tata Motors, CSR team has constructed toilets as a part of “Swachh Bharat Mission”. The Khakripara, Kaushalya Employability Training Centre was also inaugurated by senior leaders. As a part of CSR initiative Tata Motors is working with local youth for enhancing their employability through various skill based training programs. At Khakhripara a well-equipped training centre with laboratory for practical training and class rooms for theory training was commissioned. First batch of training in painting trade was started on this occasion. After completion of 240 hours of training the trainees would be provided with NSDC recognized certification. The volunteers interacted with trainees to know about their aspiration in life and gave suggestions to enhance their skills.

The Rice Bucket Challenge involves donating a bucket of rice to a poor person or family. The Rice Bucket Challenge is a response to the Ice Bucket Challenge that started in India and spread to other South Asian nations. The volunteers donated a bucket of rice to a local non-profit.
 
  Food safety and hygiene awareness Indian Hotels  |  Coimbatore
 
Vivanta by Taj Surya, Coimbatore organised Food safety and hygiene awareness session for Street Food sellers and small restaurants at Vivanta by Taj Surya, L & D – Training Hall. The awareness session included an overview on food hygiene and on the wide range of major food safety issues, including food receiving and storing as well as personal hygiene. Other topics discussed during the event were the five keys to safer food, butchery best practices, proper defrosting, and Hand cleaning, Vessel cleaning and sanitation. The discussions were followed by a presentation on basic food safety and hygiene by a Microbiologist.
 
  Medical camp Indian Hotels  |  Varanasi
 
The Gateway Hotel Ganges and Taj Nadesar Palace, Varanasi requested the local ESIC Hospital to organize a free medical camp in the hotel for health check of associates and their family members. 12 members team of the ESIC Hospital organized this camp. During this camp, Health Check-up/Counselling/Weight, Blood Pressure, Pregnancy Test, Blood Sugar, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist consultation were conducted and followed by the distribution of prescribed medicines.
 
  Girl employability awareness Tata Sponge Iron  |  Odisha
 
Tata Sponge volunteers organized an awareness camp at Bhagalpur village on opportunities in girl employability. The company has been promoting periphery area girls under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India), through orientation programs, to mobilize girls towards economic independence.
 
  Reduce reuse recycle campaign Tata Chemicals  |  Mithapur
 
The "3-R - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" policy is an important step to help mitigate the impact of Climate Change. This applies equally well for management of wilderness areas and biodiversity conservation. Volunteers at TCL have initiated a week-long drive to collect organic waste from the Biodiversity Park and wilderness areas at Mithapur. Compost beds have been prepared and the waste collected shall be used for production of organic manure which will be used for propagation of the endangered "Gugal" (Commiphora wightii) plant species as also for other plantation for stabilization of sand dunes along the Mithapur coast.
 
  Constructing a well Tata Motors  |  Pune
 
A team of 117 volunteers from Tata Motors visited Kharpud village, Rajgurunagar, Pune. SMDF trust is constructing a well in the village. The team engaged in constructing a wall for the well. A 5 m tr long by 4 feet tall stone wall was erected by the team. This work has saved 10 days of time that would have been otherwise required for erecting a wall of this size.
