Kids were given fruits post completion of the session.

A group of 50 volunteers from Trent Corporate office and a few form Mumbai stores visited a Model Farm Training center – Yuva Parivartan, NGO in Wada, Palghar. The volunteers made saplings and prepared a Nursery for the rural farmers, as these saplings will be distributed by the center to the landless farmers so that they can cultivate few crops within the house premises for consumption as well as for surplus. Volunteers also attended the session by the NGO to understand how the local farmers are trained for better crop cultivation, surplus production, agri techniques, poultry, fisheries, animal husbandry etc. The total no of saplings made by the employee volunteers was 3500.

The team Taj Banjara-Hyderabad visited Neerakshana an NGO that works with women who want to come out of their houses in their free time to pursue their hobbies. There is also a unit within this place that is working on recycling of soaps. These soaps are received from various hotels, & sanitized and sun dried before they are made into soaps again. The recycled soaps are then distributed in the slums free of cost. The team also bought a few useful items from them.

They visited both the general patient ward for male and female, talked to the patients and their attendants and wished them for their early recovery from the illness. They also gifted a packet containing fruits, health drinks and biscuits to each patient of the general ward.

(Water Vertical Plant) Dhaulakuan, H.P. conducted a cleanliness drive in a nearby village "Naya Gaon Majra" where they were joined upon by various villagers. The surrounding of the place was quite shabby. So, along with locals, volunteers cleaned the whole place consisting of bushes. Having glimpse at the noble cause, kids joined the task with a great zeal. After the completion of task, they were provided with refreshment.

The volunteers organized a medical check-up camp at the Anganavadi School, at T.Begur village, 1 km from the TGBL Bangalore factory. The Doctor checked a total of 38 children in the medical camp. The Head Mistress, school staff, 12 members of the TGBL Bangalore factory team participated in the Medical camp at the Anganavadi. They handed over some steel glasses & jugs for the use of the children. Sweets & water bottles were distributed to the children.

A group of female employees from TCE Delhi Office visited a slum area in Noida on to spread awareness to women and adolescent girls about the female health and hygiene through some videos and photographs. It was focused specifically on the women hygiene and the adverse effects of unhygienic practices followed due to lack of awareness. Also, at the end of the session we distributed sanitary pads to women so that they can understand the benefits of it. Same activity was repeated in another slum area where the volunteers distributed door to door sanitary pads along with verbal explanation about the women hygiene, benefits and ways of disposal.

A “Flash mob” was organised at State transport corporation bus stand (KSRTC) & Passport office ground. The staff was really geared up for this activity. Practice sessions went on for a week as this was an activity which would pass social messages about Child abuse etc. Around 38 staff member including family & friends participated. Dance was performed by the staffs wherein many social messages such as Child abuse, Safe Driving, Save water, Blood donation, Swatch Bharath etc were conveyed using placards & further verbally message passed to general public at the Bus stand & Passport office.

A campaign to make Mithapur township "Plastic Carrybag-Free" has been initiated since the last two weeks. TCL volunteers continued their door to door awareness campaign on ill effects of plastic carrybags on the environment and human health. Residents of Mithapur township were gifted a cloth bag per household. During the door to door campaign, volunteers also motivated the residents to persuade others to give-up use of plastic carrybags as also discourage shopkeepers from offering these to customers.

With the creation of Biodiversity Park and expansion of wilderness area, the wildlife at Mithapur has been progressively improving, both in terms of species as well as the population. The population of wild hare, blue bull and the wild boar has been on the rise and the hyenas have staged a comeback. The reptile and bird biodiversity too has improved significantly. TCL employees, family members and retired employees continued their drive to conserve the Mithapur wilderness. Plastic trash was cleared from a five-hectare wilderness plot. Volunteers have pledged to continue and further strengthen their conservation efforts in the days to come.

The volunteers inaugurated the solar panel for electrification of drip irrigation. 29 volunteers from TCE, Mumbai visited Khoripada village located in Palghar district. This is flagship program of TCE under the Livelihood Program, which has created the difference in the lives of the villagers living in Khoripada. Volunteers explained the villagers about the segregation of dry waste and wet waste and demonstrated about the same by showing them practically. The importance of segregation of dry and wet waste was highlighted to the villagers by informing that wet waste can be used as manure from compost pits and whereas dry waste can be directly solid to the scrap vendors. Print outs of the pictures of dry waste and wet waste were distributed among all the men & women in the village. A small pit of 1 feet had been dug by the villagers in the open space where practical demonstration of the pit formation for compost has been demonstrated by using wet waste from kitchen and animal wastes. The importance of organic manure was explained to the villagers and that not to use chemicals was further encouraged. Volunteers visited the school and interacted with the children to create awareness on dry and wet waste. A practical segregation of wet & dry waste was demonstrated to the school kids by letting them to identify the type of waste from the dustbin which was in the classroom. Volunteers taught the school kids about the preparation of paper bags from discarded paper. School kids happily participated in the activity. Volunteers along with 25 kids organised a cleanliness drive near the vicinity of the school and imparted the necessity of cleanliness in the area. Volunteers involved with the kids from the school ranging from standard 1st to 5th by teaching them how to play football and meditation, hereby explaining the importance of meditation and role of sports for every individual.

Total 5 Km length of road having involvement of 900 volunteers form the vendors/suppliers and 300 volunteers from the Tata Motors along with senior management of the respective vendor and plant was cleaned in single day having drive to more than 3 hrs.
