  Visit to a non-profit Tata Steel Processing and Distribution  |  Kolkata
 
TSPDL volunteers visited Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy at Kolkata. An experienced faculty of the institute explained the volunteers about the various activities of the institute and how the children with cerebral palsy is groomed at various stages of their lives starting from basic education till posting in vocational training at age of 18 and then suitable placement to earn their living. All the volunteers visited different levels of classroom teaching, computer labs, vocational training centres like printing unit, canteen, tea packing and other places where they interacted with the students and helped them in their daily activities.

The associates planted plants in the periphery of a nearby government school. All the team members participated with full enthusiasm in digging the pits, planting the saplings and watering them.
 
  Rice bucket challenge Ginger Hotels  |  Jamshedpur
 
A team of 15 Volunteers from Ginger Hotel Jamshedpur visited the Toramdih village at Sundarnagar. The volunteers met with a couple of villagers and their families and distributed buckets of rice under the "Rice Bucket Challenge".
 
  Bird Walk for College Students of Malur Tata Consultancy Services  |  Karnataka
 
A group of 16 students from Government First Grade College, Malur in Kolar district of Karnataka were taken on a bird walk. 43 species were sighted on the day. Students uploaded the list of birds on ebird.org, a citizen science platform. The bird list is the first one for the water body which we had visited. Students were enamored by the new species which they sighted - the hovering sight of a Pied Kingfisher before it dived into the water, breeding plumage of a Little Egret, the sulking Grey Bellied Cuckoo feeding on insects, the helicopter flight of Jerdon's Bushlark, the brightly colored Indian Roller (state bird of Karnataka), the metallic call of the Coppersmith Barbet and not to forget the annoying call of the Common Hawk Cuckoo (otherwise known as brain fever bird).

Rallis Akola volunteers organised a programme on Safety Awareness through cultural singing by the workmen, poster & slogan writing. The group of workmen demonstrated their art of singing a safety song covering the importance of PPEs in their life. The poster & slogan competition was organised on this occasion. The winners were given the prizes during this programme.

Rallis Akola volunteers alongwith the students of Blue Lotus English School conducted the world water day awareness rally at Shivapur village. Being a water scarcity area creating awareness on water conservation through the students created a very positive impact on villagers on water saving for future generation.
 
  Interacting with women entrepreneurs Tata Power  |  Mumbai
 
TPREL employees volunteered to assess this project by conducting Focus Group Discussion and Interaction with the beneficiaries. These senior leaders engaged in review the project in order to understand the business process, stages and skills required for the setting up business. By end of this volunteering assignment, these leaders came up with very positive feedback and they were impressed about the progress of these women entrepreneurs and their entrepreneur skills.
 
  Cleaning water tanks Tata Power  |  Ahmednagar
 
Khandake - Supa Wind Operations site, Ahmednagar celebrated by volunteering to clean a water percolation tank and segregated stones spread over the tank at Devgaon Village pf Ahmednagar District. More than 120 villagers, Tata Power Co. Ltds. Employees, Women Self Help Groups, O&M Vendor, Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra Staff, School Children and Teacher Staff paid homage to Jamshetji Tata with such volunteering work.
 
  Cleanliness drive Ginger Hotels  |  Delhi
 
To ensure the hygiene, Team of Ginger RYN and partners cleaned the area from back gate of Ginger IRCTC covering the Main gate till the Metro Station, the exit of New Delhi Railway Station wherein almost thousands of tourists visit on a daily basis. They also briefed the people about how to keep the area clean and throw the garbage in dustbin only.
 
  Home safety awareness Indian Hotels  |  Agra
 
The volunteers conducted a home safety awareness session for the people of Karbhana Village, especially for the females who take care of the entire home alone & has the huge responsibility on their shoulders but they are unaware of their own safety. The main topic of this session was LPG. They made them understand proper usage of LPG cylinder, do’s & don’ts during cooking etc. Usage of the MOTINE (mosquito Killer), where they suggested people to use it safely and keep it away from the reach of children. Not to reveal their personal details to strangers or neighbours. Mentally prepare your kids not to play or go with strangers in any sort of condition. The team also distributed some flyers containing Home Safety tips in Hindi to help them understand better the need of Safety at home.
 
  Wildlife habitat conservation Tata Chemicals  |  Mithapur
 
The coastal wilderness around Mithapur provides habitat for wildlife species like the Indian Pangolin, hedgehog, hare, jackals, hyena and a host of raptors, many of which are migratory. The endangered Houbara Bustards have been recorded here and the coast provides nesting grounds for endangered Green turtles. A major threat for the wildlife here is the rampant spread of an exotic weed known as "Prosopis juliflora". Wild herbivores often feed on seed pods of this weed and aid its spread through their droppings. TCL employees, family members and retired employees have launched a drive to check this exotic weed. A drive for collection of Neelgai (Indian Blue Bull) droppings from coastal wilderness was organised. This program shall continue for the next couple of days to help conservation of Mithapur wilderness for the endangered wildlife.

Rallis Lote volunteers participated in an awareness session on “Success story of an Ordinary Man and Leadership Qualities” organized by Rotaract Club, Lote at Gavthan Village, Peer Lote. The President of Rotaract Club talked about successful life of a layman and how a common man can gain good leadership qualities. The volunteers also talked about leadership qualities and team work.
 
  Motivational session for women Rallis India  |  Lote
 
Volunteers of Rallis India Lote Unit organized a Motivational Programme for the women group of Bhoraj, Taluka Khed. Few key personnel of the society were also present in this programme. They arranged a few games for the group with an aim to develop their interest in running small business activities, increasing their self confidence level, improving team work and leadership qualities.

Rallis Lote team celebrated Ramnavami Utsav with the women group of Bhoraj village, Khed. The volunteers participated in the traditional pooja and its related programmes. In the end, sweets were distributed to the children.
 
  Visit to a center Indian Hotels  |  Hyderabad
 
The team from Taj Banjara Hyderabad visited the GVK EMRI Research center in Medcal about 25 kms from Hyderabad. The purpose of the visit was to see the modus-operandi of the 108-ambulance service & to understand how we as responsible citizens can we ensure that emergency services are given to the people in need of them. The visit was very fruitful in terms of understanding the operations of a world class facility & also personally being able to understand the way it services the society.
 
  Visit to a women’s home Tata Metaliks  |  Kharagpur
 
Employees of Tata Metaliks visited Nirmal Hirdalya, Kharagpur. There are 65 women in this home. Employees went with fruits and spent time with them. Employees sang songs for them. They all were very happy.

Voltas conducted a safety awareness session for the business supporting partners during the 47th National Safety Week occasion at their workplace. This was a very useful knowledge sharing session for them.
 
  Dental check-up camp Voltas  |  Pantnagar
 
Volunteers from Voltas Limited, Pantnagar organized a learning session on Health Hygiene and Dental check camp for School children at Govt Primary School, Kotha Village. The Dental surgeon checked up teeth related problems of all school children and informed them on how to take care of their teeth. Team Volunteers also distributed the dental care kit (Tooth Paste and Junior Tooth Brush) to all children.
