  Spending time with the sloth bears Indian Hotels  |  Agra
The volunteers decided to visit World’s largest Bear rescue facility i.e. The Agra Bear rescue facility – Wildlife SOS, so that we could understand their actual cause of working and spread awareness for their betterment. They have rescued over 600 bears by now. The team bought some fresh fruits to feed the bears there and to know more about their routine life. They also volunteered for a cleaning drive there & painting of doors.
  Blood donation camp Amalgamated Plantations  |  Assam
Blood donation camp was organized at Lattakoojan Tea Estate hospital in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Civil Hospital at Golaghat Town. A total of 36 donors donated blood including management staff, office staff, workers, non-workers and ATTSA members also took part in the camp.

A blood donation camp was organised at Nahorkutia Tea Estate Hospital. The camp was conducted in collaboration with expert team from AMCH, Dibrugarh aided by Nahorani BPHC. A team of 2 lady medical specialist, 2 PG Student and 6 nos. Technician staff from AMCH, Dibrugarh helped to conduct the programme. A total of 23 donors donated their blood.
  Drawing competition for children Indian Hotels  |  Agra
The volunteers visited Junior High School, Village Karbhanato conduct a drawing competition on International Colour Day with some exciting prizes for the runner ups and also consolation prizes for all the students. All the children participated and showed their creativity while making those adorable drawings.
  Awareness on water conservation Rallis India  |  Lote
Volunteers of Rallis India, Lote unit arranged an awareness session on water and energy conservation through hydro power generation unit at Survey wadi and Budha wadi of Ghanekunt Grampanchayat. Rallis has recently installed a hydro power generation unit at this village for the benefit of seventy two families. They have also installed 32 nos. street lights which are sufficient for their daily requirement. The generated water is utilized for their domestic purposes and farming purposes. The team briefly explained the benefit part of the power project. Few school students also attended the session.
  Visit to an old age home Rallis India  |  Lote
A group of 7 Volunteers of Rallis India Limited, Lote unit visited the Matoshri Old Age Home at Khed. There are 15 residents in the old age home. They spent time with them, took them into the open premises, had good conversation, took photographs, etc. In the end volunteers distributed turkey towels, fruits and biscuits to them.

9 volunteers from TCE have visited Navjeevan Prathamik School, i.e. school for street kids in Thane. Volunteers played different game with the students of school followed by storytelling session and concluded the program by singing prayer together.

Volunteers from Ginger Hotels, Kochi donated blood in the blood donation drive conducted at IMA Voluntary Donor blood bank, Kochi. The activity witnessed participation of 16 volunteers.
  Spending time with senior citizens Indian Hotels  |  Gurugram
Taj City Centre Gurugram invited elder residents of Nirmal Chhaya for a movie show and lunch. Around 20 elders from Nirmal Chhaya visited the hotel, volunteers greeted them with aarti and teeka at the lobby, served welcome drink and took them for movie show at Ballroom. The General Manager, HOD’s and other staff interacted with them and served them lunch. The elders then shared their stories with staff on High Tea and clicked pictures.

In association with Sarvodaya Blood Bank, the hotel set up a blood donation camp for employees. They voluntarily came forward to support the great cause of supporting the underprivileged Thalassemia patients. One of the two treatments for Thalassemia patients is blood transfusion. Hence the donated blood collected would be used to treat patients suffering from this ailment.

Rallis India Limited Ankleshwar organised a tree plantation drive in GIDC premises. 30 Volunteers planted 50 trees in GIDC premises.

A group of 36 enthusiastic team members conducted a cleanliness drive in the surrounding land of Cheshire home housing old age citizens. Games were organized for the residents. Food was cooked and served as snacks. Bed sheets and bath towels were donated.
  Awareness on e-waste management Tata Consulting Engineers  |  Jamshedpur
A presentation on E-Waste Management was made for improving awareness of the fraternity of BA College of Engineering Jamshedpur. The audience of 200+ comprised members from the college management, faculty and students..The session covered the quantification of the problem of e-waste management, the associated hazard, current unregulated practices by unorganized sector and the government rules and regulations and initiatives to rectify and correct the situation. The presentation also spoke about the definition of the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders in the lifecycle of an electronic product. The presentation was very well received and appreciated by both the students and the faculty and was followed by a lively interaction and question answer session.

Employee volunteers from central maintenance division interacted with SHG members from the community and distributed 56 bee boxes (2 to each member) 15 beneficiaries in Rajdoha village. The SHG members gracefully accepted the bee boxes and will engage in bee keeping activity which would eventually lead to an enhancement of income and livelihood opportunity for community members.

  Celebration of World Water Day Coastal Gujarat Power  |  Mundra
The volunteers from Coastal Gujarat Power Limited in association with the nearby school has organised events to celebrate World water Day. On this day, mass awareness program on water conservation, prudent usage of the water and the role of the community in preservation and conservation of water has been explained to the community and the school students. During the day, special video show on Water and Life was shown to the school students. Special badges were prepared to mark the day and distributed to all the employees and the workers for mass awareness. Quiz program for the school students was organized in the school, where large numbers of students has actively participated. The theme of the quiz was revolving around “Water”. The winners of the quiz were awarded and given the appreciation certificate.

A total of 97 volunteers came forward for the good cause and donated blood. During the blood donation camp, the volunteers explained the importance of blood donation.

A group of 46 enthusiastic team members including Yojaka Pvt Ltd (a company maintaining the beaches in Mangalore) took the initiative of planting fruit trees alongside the full stretch of the garden. Various types of fruit trees as in Mango, Jamun, Chikku, Badam & Ashoka/Bamboo plants were planted. The hotel donated water hose pipes & nursery green clothes for shading the plants. It was a good turnaround of employees as this was an activity which gives back to the environment cleaner air required for human survival.

17 Divyang Students from Sarthak Institute were provided training on Hospitality. Around 15 Volunteers from Ginger Hotel Mumbai Andheri spend their time to engage with these Divyang Students. The students were given an overview of Front Office, Restaurant Service, Housekeeping and Food Production areas. The Students were very excited and many expressed interest to join hospitality for their careers. At end of the training refreshments were offered to all students.

With an aim to contribute to the environment and provide a green coverage in Mysore city, volunteers from Ginger Mysore planted saplings in the Hotel campus and in Children Traffic Park. We have cleaned the park by removing the wastes like plastic, paper etc. from the park. Staff enjoyed their time volunteering together and giving back to Mother Nature.

The volunteers helped the farmer by cutting the sugarcane and loading in on to the tractor. They removed the blocked waste from the water which is flowing towards farm land. The entire activity was carried out under the guidance of the farmer.

Ginger Hotel Vapi, took up the task of creating awareness on Road Safety and shared safe driving tips. Number of road accidents are increasing and the only way to reduce them is to create awareness among people using these road safety slogans.

The Gateway Hotel Agra went to visit Surkuti School for Blinds, Keetham, Agra and spent time with the children. They also showed the volunteers how they study & answered many of their questions. The volunteers also visited their handcrafting classroom.

Volunteers from Taj West End, Bangalore visited APSA. The Association for Promoting Social Action or APSA is a rights-based, child-centred, community development organization working in Bangalore since 1981 towards empowerment of the urban poor, especially with children in distress. Volunteers from Taj & TATA strive interacted with 30 Children and took counselling sessions on Skill building and livelihood. Few children have shown interest to join vocational courses in F&B service, Food Production & Housekeeping conducted by TATA Strive.

The team requested The Government Hospital Blood bank Coimbatore to conduct a blood donation camp. Around 20 Donors came but eventually due to strict regulations, only 10 Associates could donate.

The team visited an ashram. The residents were engaged in handicraft work like making bags and handmade jewelry. All the residents were very happy to have food prepared by the hotel chefs.

A team of volunteers from Taj City Centre Gurugram visited Arushi Home, Salaam Baalak Trust Gurgaon and met around 70 girl child. Later they performed a dance for us on a lovely song from the movie “Dangal”. After a small interaction and dance session they served lunch to them in their dining area and had a photo session with a promise to come back again with some different activities.

VBT- Surajkund visited Karam Marg, an NGO in Faridabad. The volunteers across departments came together to spread awareness on personal hygiene, food hygiene and importance of grooming. Volunteers from various departments made the session interactive by engaging kids with useful tips concerning their daily routine. The kids were excited and happy after spending quality time with the volunteers.

A visit was organized at the Sajoi village with the women of Self Help Groups. The theme of this activity was ‘Women Safety and Security’ which was organized in a form of lectures the volunteers explained the challenging work environment the women are facing. After the lecture session the programme got a shape of interface programme between the Hotel staffs, Human Welfare Association staffs and the women and girls participating in the programme. The participants shared their vital life experiences and provided valuable suggestions on ‘how girls and women can make themselves better safe while they are moving out from their respective families.’

JUSCO Administration & Security, Safety, CSR department volunteers organized the Mega Event “Reduce Reuse Recycle” activity for students [IX, XI] of SS+2 School. Volunteers conducted a quiz competition related to environment, gave token gift to the winners. Volunteers aware the students how to use waste material like waste car wheels, bottles, they made study table by car wheel and pen stand, flower pots, chalk dust bins etc. Students enjoyed and learnt precious things for life.

Rallis Akola volunteers participated in the “Clean Morna River Mission” in Akola. A total of 40 volunteers participated to clean the Morna River which is a life line of Akola City. The District Collector guided all the volunteers and motivated them. The volunteers contributed by cleaning the unwanted saplings from water and segregated the plastic waste for its disposal.

A group of volunteers from Rallis India Lote Unit visited Z P School, Gavthan, Peer Lote and conducted a drawing and coloring competition for the students. All the drawings were based on general safety and precautions to protect ourselves from unsafe conditions. With the help of volunteers and their teachers 34 students completed the drawing and coloring session beautifully.

Rallis volunteer visited Curs row Wadia college of technology, & Star bazar Pune and carried out a self-defense workshop for students of Wadia collage and women group of star bazaar Pune focusing on self-awareness, self-appreciation and confidence building along with various hand and leg techniques used to defend oneself was taught. Beneficiaries from both the institute gave overwhelming response and positive feedback about the session.
  Celebrating World Water Day Tata BlueScope Steel  |  Jamshedpur
On World Water Day, volunteers went to the Lalbhatta bustee where Tata BlueScope Steel has extended the water line for drinking water daily for 3 hrs. for the bustee people. The volunteers discussed and made them aware of using clean water, keeping good hygiene at home and diseases caused by poor water, and a lack of sanitation and hygiene. They requested and insisted the people on keeping the area around the drinking water clean otherwise the water will be contaminated and will be cause of diseases. They also listened to their problems related to the timings of the water facility and the wastage of water as one of the tap that has been broken. They noted down their problems.

World Water Day celebrated by Tata Chemicals at Dwarka, the theme of the World Water Day was "Nature for Water", 14 volunteers helped for promotion of this program in the villages, 73 village leaders, Sarpanchs and 30 village women SHG members ware participated in this program, the invited speakers spoke on the importance of the water for human beings, agriculture, animal husbandry, industries, the program ended with the prize distribution to the best Pani Samiti for proper implementation of village water supply scheme.

Tata Chemicals volunteers participated in the volunteering event organized by iVolunteer in Y C Sawant School (Bhandup, Mumbai). The event was under the Theme “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”. The volunteers helped the school students to make planters from old plastic bottles, make dustbins out of plastic bottles, and make newspaper bags etc. The students were also made aware of the negative effects of use of plastic on environment and why we should come forward to reduce the use of plastic and reuse and recycle the available plastic materials such as the plastic bottles.

Volunteers of Tata Coffee Ltd – ICD Toopran team engaged with TS Govt. residential school pupil and teachers. The volunteers conducted awareness program on pollution control and organized drawing competition for 130 students. This program helped in creating awareness to the rural pupil who are partially aware of pollution and sustainability. This program successfully met the objective by spreading communication on impact of pollution and sustainability for livelihood. This event concluded by honoring senior teachers in the school and distribution of appreciation certificates to the drawing competition winners and consolation prizes for the participants.

30 girls from Avasara School- A First-of-its-Kind Academy visited TCS Pune Branch. The Visit was divided into 2 parts- GE Lab Visit & Aero-modelling Workshop. In GE lab the curious minds were exposed to Drone, Animated Games and Robot Models. After that the girls were given a deeper insight on Model Aircraft and the mechanics and engineering behind them. Both the activities were highly appreciated by the girls and the school staff.

The 100% population of the village is tribal and dalits. The children in these village are first learners, since majority of the villagers are illiterate and do not understand the importance of education. Therefore, Tata Metaliks employees always conduct program to promote and encourage education in the village by organizing various camps & rallies.

Team members from PL MHCV and Product Development visited village Shankarpur , Sanatanpur and Jharna Basti. The villages with a difficult terrain are inhabited by unprivileged tribal population. During their visit employee volunteers helped in organizing health camp for the villagers and interacted with villagers to know about their developmental needs. Employee volunteers also contributed to distribute stationery among children of the villages. The team decided to work with the villagers on a sustained basis to help them in area of education and livelihood.

Road safety awareness programme was organized by Tata Sponge. 16 volunteers were participated in the Road safety awareness. They educated to the drivers (2/4 wheelers, truck, bus, etc.) to obey the rules & regulations of road to avoid any kind of mishap. All the volunteers distributed of leaflets.
