At Tata Technologies, the effort is geared to get more young people interested in
STEM subjects and inculcate experiential education in schools. Therefore, with the
help of partners, the volunteers engaged school students in activities that provide
opportunities for hands on experience through interesting kits. These kits essentially
help kids in understanding basic concepts of science and technology. Tata Technologies
Board of Directors, CEO& MD and senior leadership joined in one such activity called
‘Box of Science Activity’ with 40 students from Walhekarwadi Corporation boys school.
They interacted with the children, learnt more about these experimental kits and shared
their experiences.

As part of its CSR Project - Empowerment Via Education in partnership with Lila
Poonawalla Foundation, Tata Technologies takes care of the technical and soft skills
training needs of girl engineers, sponsored by the company for four years of engineering
program. Board of Directors, MD& CEO and senior leadership team participated in one such
skill development session for 50 girls organized under EVE program. This session included
special assessment for women, through which they can understand their ability to behave
confidently in various working environments such as IT, engineering companies, multinationals
and manufacturing companies. This session was helpful to subjects related to knowledge
orientation, employability skills, career clarity and adopting change.

and Primary School-7, Adityapur and organized a Medical Camp, including general

basic health, hygiene and sanitation. The team members also distributed sweets
and beverages to all the children of the Ashram.

were advised to take the preventive measures and necessary precautions. Volunteers
from CSR Department participated in the program by providing support service and
explaining parents on how to retain good dental health practices & oral hygiene of
their children. A set of dental kit was provided to each student free of cost.

Across the TCS UK&I geography, colleagues were encouraged to take part in the national
British Heart Foundation Campaign ‘Bag it, Beat it’, as part of the Corporate Charity
Partnership. Associates across TCS and Diligenta, a fully-owned TCS subsidiary in the
UK, were asked to clear out their wardrobes, attics, and cupboards to donate the items
to local British Heart Foundation shops so they could raise money for life saving research.
Many of the associates enthusiastically took up the challenge and helped organise events in
their locations. The team has delivered over 300 bags to British Heart Foundation Shops
across the UK. This has raised over £5000 in estimated sale value in their shops, which
will be used to fund life-saving research. As part of the Corporate Charity Partnership
with the British Heart Foundation, this money has further pushed over the fundraising
target for the year.

groom the students in these sports discipline.

near Mithapur. Doctors and paramedical staff from Mithapur Hospital volunteered

for Rural Development (TCSRD) also volunteered to reach out to the local community
and ensure they avail benefit of the medical facilities offered at the camp.

counselling of each student about road safety and domestic safety. The volunteers
educated the students about the various precautions to be taken on roads and otherwise
for their personal safety. Students were also encouraged to inspire their parents and

while on the roads.
