TCSRD organized an awareness programme on sanitation at village Pawari
(Near to TCL Plant, Babrala - U.P.). A team of volunteers from P & QA
department of Tata Chemicals along with their HOD met with the community
members like youth, farmers & students. The main motto of the programme
was to make the community aware about the importance of sanitation hygiene
for human health & how they can reduce diseases by good sanitation practices.
They also collected some samples of drinking water from various sources to
conduct quality analysis.

The Staff of both Ginger Mumbai Mahakali and Ginger Mumbai Andheri reached out to
the people residing on the streets of Mumbai. A retired TCS Employee also joined in.
the volunteers donated linen from the hotel. These linens were sorted out and
washed at the hotel laundry and then distributed to the underprivileged people.

The students of Tata STRIVE Skilled Training Centre undergo a training in F&B (Service)
& Housekeeping Operations. Practical demonstration of Bed Making & Room Cleaning go a
long way in making the students understand about the practicalities of hotel operations
and also enable them to apply their theory to practice. All 50 students were engrossed
in the session and all of them indulged in the bed making and room cleaning procedure
themselves. All of them gave positive feedback at the end of the session that it was a
real eye opener for them

A drawing competition was organized by the employees of Tata Metaliks in Amba primary
School. The students were also given helpful tips to make good drawings. Prizes were

A group of volunteers organized an awareness program on the cause & effects of global
warming in the Learning & Development Centre of the township. Rural youth and senior
citizens including 2 village committees and 4 youth clubs from the villages of Deojhar,
Birikala, Kandara & Anseikala attended the program. The imminent dangers of rising sea
levels and its impact on people were explained. People were encouraged towards adapting
a green, earth friendly lifestyle by refusing to use polythene and other non-biodegradable products.

Employees of Tata Metaliks organized a cleanliness drive in Amba Primary school,
Kharagpur, West Bengal along with the teachers & students of the school. The students
took an oath to always keep their school clean. Tata Metaliks has renovated the school
building in the year 16-17 and provided drinking water facilities, toilet blocks, benches
& desks, fans and tube lights in the school.

Taj Chandigarh visited the Anganvadi in Dhanas for its maintenance and to support them
out with electrical maintenances. The started to clean the floor while electrician started
working on electrical maintenance. The area was freed from cobwebs, washrooms cleaned and
lights, fans and switches fixed. The team also took dimensions of the uncovered electrical
panel and fixed it up as well. The anganwadi was made spotlessly clean by the dedicated
volunteers.

orphans and destitute girls. On Durga Puja, all 264 residents were provided new clothes

A dental check-up was organized by the volunteers of TCIL for the students
of pre – nursery classes at Aastha Community Development Centre. An ex dental
surgeon from CMC Vellore examined all students. Dental health conditions of 100
students were captured and parents of those children having severe dental problem
were advised to take the preventive measures and necessary precautions. Volunteers
from CSR Department participated in the program by providing support service and
explaining parents on how to retain good dental health practices & oral hygiene of
their children. A set of dental kit was provided to each student free of cost.

to benefit the hurricane victims. The volunteers packed up the first batch of
donations to send to the salesman Paul Jones that lives in Texas. Once received,
he will drop donations off at local "Help" agencies who support the hurricane victims.

workshop on savings & insurance policies for the community. About 29 persons from local
village youth groups, SHG members, ex PRI members & others attended the knowledge sharing
session conducted at Learning & Development Centre, Tata Sponge township. The program
covered various provisions of saving & insurance policies which may benefit every member
of the family. The attendees thanked the organizers for the useful insight they received
during the program.

The volunteers from Taj Krishna-Hyderabad volunteered for Soap for Hope Foundation that
works with the HIV AIDS patients by giving them employment. At Taj Krishna, Hyderabad,
employees collected soaps for about a month for this cause, these soaps are the ones
that are used only once by the guest while staying with the hotel & then left over &
can’t be re-used. The complete collection was handed over to the NGO for recycling.
The members from the HR team personally visited the organisation & handed over the soaps
& also tried making a few soaps. The soaps thus recycled are distributed to the slums
& other orphanages for use.

and met the children. The ExCom Team and few other associates collectively organized
lunch for them. Chef from the hotel cooked a meal and ensured that the food was as per

juices beside a special cake and few more items. The children enjoyed the meal and
were also was delighted to meet the team.

Volunteers organized a diya painting activity for the tribal students of Kolkhe village.
The activity was for the 5th to 9th standard students but 2nd standard students also
participated in the activity very enthusiastically. All the students enjoyed coloring diyas.
Each student painted 2 to 3 diyas. Volunteers guided them in color combination while painting them.
