  Interaction with Tata STRIVE youth Tata Sons  |  Mumbai
 
Dr. Mukund Rajan interacted with 11 youth from different Tata STRIVE centers in Mumbai. He reminisced about how he started his career and made his first decisions with a goal in mind. The students asked him questions on how he made difficult decisions while keeping people’s interest in mind. He also spoke to them about how successful business run and explained the difference between a job and a career. The students asked questions on how to manage time and personal goals. The interaction ended with the youth sharing their personal goals and why they want to help their families. One student also presented his paintings to Dr. Rajan as a gift.
 
  Cleanliness drive Ginger Hotels  |  Tirupur
 
The employees of Ginger Hotels, Tirupur undertook a cleanliness drive. They enthusiastically took up brooms and garbage bags to clean up the dirty area of the neighborhood which had plastics, carton boxes, waste papers, etc. A total of 14 volunteers participated in the programme.
 
  First Aid Training Rallis India  |  Lote
 
Rallis India, Lote organized a General First Aid training programme at Z P School, Lotemal, Lote for the benefit of 110 students. The activity was conducted by the Occupational Health Centre In-charge of the organization along with the First Aid Team. During the session, students were taught how to provide first aid to the injured person on the spot and taking them to the nearest hospital. They were also briefed about snake bite, dog bite (anti rabies), electric shock, fractures, bandages, shifting patients, burns, recover positions etc. The training session helped the participants to understand the importance of first aid to the injured and the correct way of providing it.
 
  Home safety awareness session Rallis India  |  Lote
 
The volunteers organized a Home Safety Awareness session for the women of Lote. The Safety Officer along with other staff members explained the importance of home safety with the help of presentations and video clips. There were 51 women were present in the awareness session. The Lady Sarpanch of the village and few key personnel of the village were also present in the programme. They also celebrated the International Women’s Day and gifted roses to all the participants.
 
  Hygiene awareness Tata Steel Processing and Distribution   |  Jamshedpur
 
A team of volunteers from Tata Steel Processing and Distribution, Jamshedpur went to JAP School and organised session on health and hygiene for the students. The volunteers mainly highlighted the importance of health and hygiene and cleanliness in daily life. They briefed the students on importance of washing hands after using toilets, before eating meals, daily bath, brushing teeth and to have clean drinking water etc.
 
  Cleanliness drive and awareness Ginger Hotels  |  Delhi
 
Team members from Ginger Hotels, Delhi organised a cleanliness drive near the hotel. The volunteers also took the initiative of making the passers-by aware about the importance of cleanliness. A total of 22 volunteers participated in the drive.
 
  Importance of hygiene Ginger Hotels  |  Agartala
 
A group of volunteers from Ginger Hotels, Agartala visited Bholananda Vidyabhavan Primary School, Kunjaban and conducted an awareness campaign on personal hygiene and cleanliness among the students. Volunteers demonstrated various ways and explained the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. The children responded well and interacted with the volunteers. Later chocolates were distributed among the children.
 
  Training of trainer’s session Ginger Hotels  |  Delhi
 
Team Ginger Delhi supported the Training of Trainers participants from Tata Strive in Hotel Ginger for carrying out practical in guest rooms with the housekeeping team which enabled them to get them the hands on experience of working in a hotel.

Volunteers from Tata Business Support Services, Hyderabad conducted a motivational and career orientation session in government girls’ school in Dilshuknagar, Hyderabad. The secondary school students were inspired by the volunteers and were full of question about the various streams and career option they could opt for.

A group of volunteers from Tata Steel, Jamshedpur organised a sports event for women from the community to celebrate International Women’s Day. Around 300 ladies from the community participated in the sports activities.

A group of volunteers from Tata Steel Jamshedpur celebrated the International Women's Day 2017. The theme of the celebration was “Be Bold for Change”. Around 367 Women Change Makers (SHG members, Anganwadi workers, Sahiyas, PRIs, School Teachers & Students) from nearby 6 villages joined hands to celebrate the occasion.

A group of volunteers from Tata Teleservices, Delhi conducted a skill building session for the students of Sarthak which trains and empowers youth with disabilities. The session was very informative and motivating for the students.

Senior management personnel from Head Operations at Trent, Mumbai volunteered at Tata STRIVE, Airoli Centre to meet and interact with the Retail Students batch. He conducted a Session on Retail Industry, boosted the youth with importance of being independent and confidence. He also conducted a discussion on the scope and future of Retail Industry.

This Women's Day, Vivanta by Taj MG Road, Bangalore spread awareness on Environment by distributing saplings to the women. A session on environment awareness was organized where all the volunteers participated to share their insights on the topic while taking a step towards a cleaner & greener environment around us. The volunteers will spread this message forward and attempt for lesser wastage at their work space.

Vivanta by Taj, MG Road Bangalore in association with LifeCraft organized an exhibition cum sale of handmade items by the organization. This fundraiser event for their products was organized in the hotel premises on occasion of Women’s Day and the proceeds would be utilized for further development of the organization.

Rallis Akola volunteers celebrated Women’s Day. The volunteers visited the community hall at Shivar Village & interacted with the women. The volunteers talked about importance of learning self-defence techniques and gave motivational talk on developing self-confidence to become a successful women. Some of the women were felicitated for their good work in the society.

Volunteers organized various outdoor games with the students of Z P School Barvai. Students were very excited to play games on the playground. They played kabaddi and cricket. Girls played langdi, khokho & kabaddi. Volunteers explained them the benefits of all these games and how to make a career in this field. Volunteers also enjoyed playing all these games with students.

A session for LPF girls was conducted to encourage them to find a balance between work and personal expectations. They should spend time with themselves without feeling guilty about it and learn and practice to say no.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function organized a 2-day 'Partners for the Goals' workshop at Renaissance, Pune for all the not-for-profit partners of the Tata Communications Group. The practice of co-working and co-creating with NGOs is a fairly unique practice amongst corporates. More than 12 of the 16 partners who carry out the social responsibility mandate, participated in the capacity building workshop. Tata communications volunteers, from various cross functional teams, not only interacted with the partners but also made them aware of the core business of Tata Communications, its evolution as a market leader in transformational digital solutions to the importance of technology to bring about social and environmental change, legal compliance requirement in partnerships and applicable Taxation rules on fund disbursal.
 
 
  Digital Literacy Program for women Tata Technologies  |  Pune
 
Technologies organised Digital Literacy Program for LPF girls on the occasion of TVW7 and Women’s Week. Due to the demonetization move, Financial Literacy in particular became an urgent need at that time. This Tata Volunteering Week 7, Tata Technologies volunteers will be lead this volunteering initiative to help train Punekars on one basic medium of cashless transactions. On day 3, 49 Girls participated.
