  Visit to Project Homeless Connect event Indian Hotels  |  San Francisco
The Campton Place team volunteered in the Project Homeless Connect event in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Eight members of the Taj Campton Place team worked at the event making the participants feel welcome and helping them to access various vital services. Homelessness is one of the major problems faced by the city of San Francisco. This important event connects the people living on the streets with a wide range of vital services which they need. The participants have an opportunity get services from employment counselors, mental health professionals, housing assistance programs, eye care, personal grooming and food supplies. The goal was to ensure participants have all the tools necessary to rebuild what they have lost and move forward. The organizers of the event and the participants were very appreciative of the enthusiastic efforts put in by the Taj Campton Place team.
  Donation drive for CRS Rice Bowl Tata Chemicals  |  North America
The team in Rockaway is participating in collection of donations for CRS Rice Bowl. 75 percent of the gift supports CRS’ programs around the world. Some examples include agriculture projects help farmers improve harvests, water and sanitation projects bring clean water to communities, microfinance projects support small businesses, mother and child health projects offer health and nutrition services, education projects provide resources and training. Remaining 25 percent of the donations go to hunger and poverty alleviation efforts in the community.
  Skill Building at YuvaLok School Indian Hotels  |  Bangalore
The associates and volunteers at VBT MG road came together to conduct skill building sessions and in the process mobilize the students of YuvaLoK school for the Tata STRIVE Program. YuvaLok foundation focuses on children and youth who are less privileged, those who are on the streets, the rural poor, the tribal children having no access to academic prospects, giving them hope and an opportunity. The team from the hotel went to the school to and gave the students a brief on the hospitality industry and also showed them what the world of Taj and Tata STRIVE had to offer. The day ended with fun games and activities with the underlying theme of giving their dreams wings to fly!
  Celebrating the festival of colors Tata Consultancy Services  |  Pune
TCS Pune Maitree visited Chhatrapati Pratishthan NGO on the occasion of Holi. The team decided to play Holi with the lovely kids and share warmth of being in the vicinity of loved ones. As always the event started off with Deva's yogasan. Volunteers made these Kids sit in the circle and played musical ball. Unlike before, this time even the volunteers had to join kids for dance. The energy of the children was indeed contagious. These games were then followed by sweet distribution. After refreshments all painted each other’s faces with colours. It was a bliss to see the children enjoying so much, playing colours, hovering around carefree.
  Visit to a science park Tata Consultancy Services  |  Pune
SNEH TCS SANGAM took the slum kids of SNEH GYAAN project to Science Park so that they can learn something in a fun and practical way. The major focus of the event was to create awareness among the community to support and encourage girl child education. The volunteers were keen to teach the general science of our daily lives to the kids and to show how humans have evolved from the Stone Age. The children saw how 3D projection works through an educational 3D show.
  Cleanliness drive Ginger Hotels  |  Faridabad
A cleanliness drive was carried by a team of 28 volunteers of Ginger Faridabad. Cleaning was done around the hotel side road. Passersby were encouraging the activity & overall it was a good experience.
  Toy donation drive Tata Sons  |  Mumbai
Many donors came forward to donate toys for the children of OSCAR Foundation. Two volunteers also went to the center to donate them to the children.
  Health check-up camp Tata Steel  |  Joda
A health check-up camp was held at RBC Malda village near Joda. It was combined with blood grouping, distribution of new cloths and a talk on health, hygiene, safety program. 57 girls who are school drop-outs and few of them who never attended schools are nurtured / nourished under Residential Bridge Course program run by TSRDS, where these children are motivated for better living and prepared for admission in appropriate classes in any of the nearby schools.

Team of seven members went to the Govt. Primary School, where they were welcomed by a welcome song by the young students. As a thank you gift and best wishes for their bright future the volunteers donated stationary to them.
  No Plastic Waste awareness campaign Coastal Gujarat Power  |  Mundra
Large number of volunteers participated in the awareness campaign in a village named Tragadi and interacted with the community, shopkeepers, visited each of the household and briefed the negative effects of usage of plastic bags and value of cleanliness. They appealed for greener and cleaner surroundings which can only be attained if the combined efforts could be initiated and individual is self-conscious about health and hygiene. The volunteers have focused and adopted the approach of Behavior Change Communication which is the ultimate tool to create more awareness and ownership among the masses.
  Painting a school wall Amalgamated Plantations  |  Assam
The volunteers did a lime washing of the wall and painted it. They also painted the door and window of the school. The school teacher also joined in to clean the surrounding of the school.
  Visit to an orphanage Tata Business Support Services  |  Jamshedpur
22 Tata BSS volunteers visited Nirmala Shishu Bhawan and spend over 3 hours taking care of the kids in residence. The young ones were very happy to receive the affection and love and caretakers grateful for the break. Both the kids and volunteers enjoyed their time together.

  Drawing activity for children Tata Global Beverages  |  Mumbai
Volunteers from Tata Global Beverages E.O Mumbai visited St. Jude India Child Care Centre in Mumbai. Activities such as drawing and identify the fruit/vegetables were organized for kids by the seven volunteers. Gifts and chocolates were distributed to the children.
  Medical camp Tata Chemicals  |  Babrala
A Medical Camp & OPD was organised by TCSRD in Village House, Tehsil – Gunnour – Dist. Sambhal - UP. Under OPD 112 patients were registered, examined, treated & 4 children were vaccinated in the camp.
  Donation drive Tata NYK Shipping  |  Kolkata
4 volunteers went to Goonj centre to deliver 8 bags of clothes. They spent some time with the team there to understand how they work on “Clothes for Work” and reach out to the poor and needy in the remotest corners of the country.
  Finishing school programme Tata Motors  |  Pune
Finishing school is a programme supported by Tata Motors and CII-Pune in ITI & Polytechnic colleges. Two employees volunteered to train and take sessions for final year students under this programme.
  Educational Awareness Programme JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
Volunteers conducted an Educational Awareness programme at Rajkiyakrit Odiya School on ‘Science & Technology’. Volunteers demonstrated a project to enlighten students on how science is important in our daily lives. The team had created projects for the children on robots and showed the students how to create this kind of robots for their academic purposes and studies.
  Community Reach-Out Program Tata Power Delhi Distribution  |  Delhi
Tata Power DDL organized Community Reach Out Program (CROP) to disseminate awareness in the community about its various CSR initiatives like Vocational Training, Women Literacy Program, Mobile Dispensary services and Drug De-addiction camps at 06 districts spread across North & North West Delhi. During the program Tata Power DDL employees & ABHA members (brand ambassadors) visited households, briefed them about various CSR initiatives and sensitized them to take benefit of the programs besides capturing their personal details & short feedback. The survey aimed to capture first hand info about the needs & requirements of communities. Accordingly steps will be taken to meet the expectations & necessities of the communities. Over 1000 households were sensitized by team of 290 volunteers simultaneously at 06 locations during the program.

10 volunteers from Ginger Vapi, spent time with the students of a blind school in Valsad and served meal and met the Honorable Secretory of School.
  Sustainability Training on ‘Zero Waste Management’ JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
A two day Training programme was conducted by the volunteers, based on the awareness session organized on ‘Zero Waste Management’ for the principals/ teachers of various schools/ colleges. The first day, the team divided the batch into groups for discussing on how they benefited from the earlier sessions and how they could implement waste management in their respective schools/colleges. At the end of the session, teachers shared the possible problems faced by them in implementing waste management in classrooms. The team also advised to form a waste management group of students and formulate a plan in this regard. The volunteers in the ‘Day 2’ of Sustainability Training organized on ‘Zero Waste Management’ for the principals/ teachers of various schools/ colleges, discussed solutions for the problems talked about the previous day. The team divided the batch into groups, each group came up with innovative solutions, sharing their personal ways of handling waste in their homes and work place. An idea of making handmade papers using waste paper at schools was highly appreciated. The team also decided to hold workshops like this in future for school students.

Team of 16 Volunteers from Ginger Hotel Manesar organised a food donation drive in slum areas of IMT Manesar, Gurgaon where they served Food to approx 70 people including kids. It was really a memorable moment for the volunteers.
  Energy Conservation Programme JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
Volunteers from JUSCO organized ‘Energy Conservation Awareness Programme’ for the residents of Harisundarpur. The team enlightened them on the importance of power and electricity in our daily lives and how one should take proper measures to save power and electricity. Moreover, the team also distributed LED bulbs to all the residents to start off as the first step towards conservation of energy.
  Providing lunch for children Tata Consultancy Services  |  Pune
TCS Pune Maitree team with 25 volunteers, visited the Technical Training Institute of PMBA (Poona Blind Men’s Association). The volunteers first met the differently-abled students who were preparing for their jobs. Most of them had completed their training and had job offers. The volunteers learnt the sign language from them. They then served lunch to all the students and interacted with them. The volunteers had a formal meeting with the heads of the institute, who apprised us about the NGO, their mission and how we can partake in their mission.
  Green Initiative at a school JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
A green initiative was taken by 7 volunteers of JUSCO at Sardar Madhao Singh Girls High School. Our team along with the students planted 15 seasonal fruit trees and flowers to beautify the school. The team also enlightened the students about how to save the environment by planting trees.
  Drug De-Addiction Camp Tata Power Delhi Distribution  |  Delhi
Tata Power - DDL, in association with Prajapita Brahm Kumari’s organized drug de-addiction camp for the needy ones at CD Park, Jahangirpuri, JJ cluster in North Delhi. Organizing team with help from employee volunteers made home visits to the residents of the clusters motivating them to attend the camp and avail benefits from it. The team of 17 volunteers also counselled the attendants of the camp and free homeopathic medicines were distributed to them.
  Inauguration of Computer System at SN High School JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
Volunteers inaugurated the computer system given by JUSCO at SN High School. The team gave demonstrations to the students on the operations and spoke about the basics of computer to all the students. They enlightened the students on how computers are important in our daily lives.
  Visit to Vocational Training Centre Tata Power Delhi Distribution  |  Delhi
A team of 10 volunteers from Revenue Management Group and Connection Management Group made a visit to the vocational training center at CSA Colony, Shakti Nagar and Sector-3, Rohini respectively. Volunteers inspired the students to perform different activities like small acts, poem-recitation and songs in front of class. They shared their experiences with tutorial class students and motivated them to study well. Students of computer class and beautician class shared their learnings. Valuable tips and tricks for basics of computer was shared with computer class students. Quiz was organized for the beneficiaries of vocational training courses and the winners were awarded. Different games were played with the beneficiaries of tutorial class. Volunteers also distributed stationery item and goodies to the kids.
  Teaching session for children Tata Motors  |  Pantnagar
GET club comprising of 15 members voluntarily conducted a teaching session on the subjects like English, Math and Science in a government school in Pattharchatta. The participatory approach, soft skill element and engagement of students through play method was quite enriching and engaging for the school students and the teachers.
  Theme based Session at Vocational Training Centre Tata Power Delhi Distribution  |  Delhi
A team of 05 volunteers organized a session at Vocational Training Center, Shahbad Dairy. The theme of the session was ‘Unnati Ki Ore’. 55+ beneficiaries benefitted from the valuable knowledge shared by the volunteers. The session was aimed to help the beneficiaries in building confidence, improvise communication skills etc.
  Painting a school Tata Global Beverages  |  Munnar
The Pullivasal Packeting Centre of Tata Global Beverages under took the volunteering activity at Govt. Vocational Higher Secondary School, Munnar, Kerala 685 612, located just 6 KM away from the factory. It provides higher secondary education to plantation sector employees’ children. A total of 75 stakeholders from the factory took part in this one day social activity which included permanent, temporary, contract employees, children of employees and our business partners associated to the plant. The motto of the volunteers was ONE DAY WORK. The volunteers under took this service on a Sunday to ensure the active participation of employee family members, business associates and it does not interfere with the normal working of the school. During the day; volunteers completed various upkeep works of school infrastructure and also helped improve the environment of the school.
  Walk-a-thon Tata Power Delhi Distribution  |  Delhi
‘Umang’ Cultural Club of Tata Power-DDL celebrated the World Water Day, by organizing a Walkathon for sensitizing common masses on the said theme. Around 150 TPDDL & business associate employees participated in Walkathon carrying placards on Water Conservation & its importance. The walkathon started with Safety Pledge of TPDDL. A stretch of nearly 2 kms was covered by volunteers going through residential areas of Lok Vihar. Senior leadership team of TPDDL also took part in the drive and encouraged the volunteers.
