A group of 18 volunteers from Ginger Hotel, Manesar organized a session on Cleanliness & Hygiene wherein they conducted a practical session on proper cleaning & hygiene of surroundings and explained the importance of the same to the general public. During the activity, they also cleaned a public park and footpath in vicinity of the Ginger Hotel.

The volunteers organized a cleanliness drive wherein two hotels - Team Ginger Pune Pimpri & Ginger Pune Wakad led by senior leaders cleaned entire Premises and public bus station Wakad - Pune to Dange Chowk- Pune. A total of 27 volunteers participated.

As part of Tata Volunteering Week 6, Taj Lake Palace took up the task of cleaning the pond adjacent to the Palace entrance near Lake Pichola. Also, it is a famous tourist spot and volunteers including associates and their family members did cleaning and painting of the pond and it's Ghat. The enthusiastic volunteers gathered at Doodh Talao and started cleaning and painting of the area with equipment's provided by the Hotel. Seeing the volunteers working with such passion, many citizens from the local community gathered and praised the initiative. At the end of the drive, the pond area and ghat looked magnificent & glorious, shining with a touch of Tajness.

Rallis Lote Unit volunteers organized a Home Safety Awareness Programme for the Women’s Group of Dattawadi, Peer Lote. The volunteers explained about home safety with the help of presentations and video clips. There were 42 women were present in the awareness programme. The Lady Sarpanch of Ghanekunt and few key personnel of the village were also present in the programme.

The employees took out time from their busy schedules got together in small groups and exchanged saplings provided by the Company. Tata Steel along with the local Police team of Joda & Belaipeda, Mandir committee members, local villagers and other volunteers carried out a cleanliness drive at Murga Mahadev Temple complex and its adjoining areas. Complete temple complex and the adjoining area was cleaned by the enthusiastic volunteers. Wild grass, bushes, chocked drainage, huge heaps of garbage along with decayed waste materials were thoroughly cleaned by the security personnel. Truckloads of garbage were removed from the complex and the area was there after thoroughly sprayed and fogged to reduce the mosquito’s menace.

WWF ambassadors sensitized the visitors on various issues such as the impact of human activities on biological diversity. They also made the employees aware of how they can contribute towards the movement of zero poaching future and biodiversity conservation. They provided free tree seeds/saplings to the employees and encouraged them to plant the seeds in their surroundings as a small step to address the phenomenon of climate change. Through this activity, employees got to spend a little time to empower themselves through the knowledge that will enable them to make a difference.

The visit was facilitated by Vistara, supported by TajSats, with a view to introduce the children to the aviation and hospitality sector.
