  Food donation drive Natsteel  |  Singapore
12 volunteers made their way to Food from the Heart. They spent a fulfilling afternoon at the premises, sorting and packing the food donations, getting them in order and ready for the needy all over Singapore.
  Life skills training Natsteel  |  Singapore
8 volunteers from Merchant Bar Mill, Finance, Meltshop and Safety department visited class Amethyst 2P of Fernvale Gardens School. They brought the kids on a mini excursion to the nearby food court to practice numeracy purchasing and dining skills. After a hearty meal, the kids were energised and it was playtime! The volunteers had a tough time chasing them around the students but it sure was an afternoon well spent.
  Hygiene awareness session Rallis India  |  Lote
A group of six volunteers from Rallis India Lote Unit visited Z P School, Lotemal and organized a session on Personal Hygiene and Sanitation for their students. A total of 245 students participated in the programme. The volunteers conducted a practical session on personal hygiene and explained the importance of the same.

Rallis Volunteers organized various fun activities & sports activities at Z P School Barvai at Barvai village for 4th to 7th standard students. The volunteers participated in drawing & painting activities with children. Some funny puzzles also were included in the drawing which students enjoyed solving with volunteers. After these activities volunteers and students participated in Kabaddi and Kho kho competitions.

14 volunteers conducted a plantation drive. They planted and irrigated 2025 Plants of various varieties. Senior colleagues also participated in the event.
  Multiple initiatives Tata Motors  |  Pantnagar
Team Pantnagar exhibited the spirit of volunteering by having active participation of volunteers from the shop and offices across departments. Girls conducted a session in schools near the plant. The volunteers from the TCF (A, B, C &D) participated in the cleanliness drive in the village Anandpur, where more than 108 volunteers carried out massive cleanliness activity in coordination with Gram Panchayat. The 98 volunteers from the shop BIW (A, B, C& D) participated in the slum area malnourished assessment project, where volunteers carried out home visit and assess the health of the malnourished children being supported under CSR. The slum area visit was coordinated by the ICDS and partner organizations. Some of the volunteers also visited the schools to understand the quality of education being imparted in the village and reason for shortfall in the schools.

Volunteers from Tata steel Ltd. Tarapur & CSR team conducted an Industrial Knowledge Sharing Session at local ITI Vangaon on Subjects (ITI Trade) of Wireman, Electrician and Electronics Mechanical.
  Product making Tata Teleservices  |  Delhi
Three Volunteers from Tata Teleservices’s Delhi office visited Blind Relief Association, Delhi (BRAD) and supported for a cumulative of 11.5 hours in the labelling and segregation of folders and paper bags, candle and diya making. These items will be displayed and sold during BRAD’s upcoming Diwali Bazaar. Diwali Bazaar is a major source of income for BRAD and the artifacts sold are made by individuals with visual impairment. The income generated supports education and provides livelihood to people with visual disabilities.
  Conducting confidence building sessions Tata Teleservices  |  Delhi
Vice President – Strategic Alliances conducted a session in Blind Relief Association, Delhi (BRAD) for the students undergoing training for call centre and massage therapy. With his vast experience, he guided the students on self-confidence and how to handle tough situations and move ahead in life. The session was thoroughly enjoyed by the students and he is inspired to conduct these sessions regularly.
  Health and Nutrition Session Tata Consultancy Services  |  Bangalore
Volunteers of TCS Maitree conducted a health and nutrition session for the kids Gandhipura (Horizon) School and Garudacharpalya Primary School. The session was kicked off with some videos on healthy individuals and good eating habits followed by detailed session by volunteers on types of food to eat for a healthy body. The team also had prepared a presentation which helped the children to understand nutrition in easy ways. Also, a yoga Camp was arranged as part of the session. Posters were designed by volunteers to depict the details as pictures which would help in easy understanding for the children.

One volunteer from Tata Teleservices’s Noida office conducted a session on Time Management & Self Development for the students attending the respective courses at SETU’s Nithari Center. These students belong from socio economically disadvantaged sections of the society and greatly benefited from the experience and anecdotes shared by the volunteer.
  Visit to a center TML Drivelines  |  Jamshedpur
The volunteers of TML Drivelines visited Udaan Viklaang to see how the overall business works and the problems faced by people. In the past too, TML Drivelines had aided Udaan Viklaang by constructing roof for their workshop. The team donated a catalogue designed for their most selling products to be used in their stalls. Finally in the spirit of unity, the volunteers from TML Drivelines made sandwiches and shared them with everyone in the NGO.
  Session on Effective communication Tata Teleservices  |  Noida
One volunteer from Tata Teleservices’s Noida office conducted a 3.5 hours long session on career progression and effective communication for the students attending the respective courses at SETU’ Sadarpur center. The objective was to facilitate the students to identify their potential, improve their interpersonal skills and motivate them to effectively handling interviews or group discussions.
  Visit to a blind school Tata Steel Processing and Distribution   |  Kolkata
The CSR Team of TSPDL Kolkata Corporate Office visited for Welfare Society for the Blind, Kolkata. WSB gives various vocational trainings to the blind students like computer training, coaching/ guidance for preparation and appearing for various Govt. competitive test exams, music teaching etc. Most of the students are visually impaired and already graduated and preparing for various exams. TSPDL Volunteers team spent quality time by interacting with these visually impaired students. They organized Antakshari, General Knowledge, Audio Quiz programs for them. TSPDL also sponsored and organized for their lunch for that day.
  Functional literacy program Tata Consultancy Services  |  Lucknow
The volunteers conducted a Functional Literacy Program which aims at improving the Basic English skills of the underprivileged women in the age group of 20-30 years. It seeks to build their basic conversational skills as well as their ability to read and understand simple texts in English. Associates from TCS Lucknow helped in nurturing the listening, speaking and reading skills of the students thereby helping the beneficiaries in getting better employability and enhancing their job performance in all the working sectors.

The Croma team from North celebrated the birthdays of employees for the month of September along with the children at Deepashram. The hall at Deepashram was decorated by the Croma employees. There was cake cutting followed by snacks, sweets and juices.

Volunteers from Tata Steel interacted with women of Self Help Group of Patil Pada, Chaukipada and Gaonthanpada of Newale village. After the interaction, the team provided training of making “Paper Bags” to the school dropout girls and SHGs of Newale.

A team visited Bichakundi village near Joda organised awareness program on Health hygiene and Electric safety. Lessons were taught in local language to make them understand electric safety. Children were motivated to study and attend schools regularly and lessons on health and hygiene were given. Around 50 persons including ladies and children attended the session in the village community hall

The Finance & Accounts JDC organised an awareness rally campaign on Road Safety at Bistupur main road. During the campaign citizens were requested to follow road safety rules like use crash helmet, seat belt, helmet for pillion rider, rules to be followed at zebra crossing etc. Team members from Finance & Accounts also distributed road safety awareness leaflets to all as a constant reminder of Road Safety and Traffic Rules & Regulations.
  Visit to an industrial area Tata Steel  |  Jamshedpur
The team of Noamundi organized a visit for the students of Mahudi High School, Noamundi to Medicinal Park, Rainwater harvesting park & Industrial area. A total of 32 students (Class 8-10th) along with a school teacher were picked up from Mahudi School in bus and were shown the area. They were made aware of medicinal values of plants, process of rainwater harvesting and solar cell technology being commonly used around Noamundi area. Food packets and drinking water bottles were distributed to all students and teachers.

Volunteers from Tinplate Company organized a workshop for the community girls and ladies of vocational training program who were enrolled in tailoring and stitching course. Under the able guidance of volunteers, students learnt an advance methodology of tailoring which can be incorporated in their regular curriculum in order to enhance their learning skills. This will also help in increasing the scope of their engagement level for income generation after the completion of their training program.
  Cleanliness drive Tata Autocomp Systems   |  Pune
As a result of Ganesh celebration, there is a lot of waste accumulation on the roads. The volunteers came together and undertook a cleaning drive for three hours at select points. The employees lifted the trash from the various points and deposited the same in the designated municipal garbage.

50 Students of different colleges & 5 Professors were trained on self-defence in the hotel. 13 Volunteers helped in organizing the event.
  Dengue awareness & immunization drive Tata Business Support Services   |  Chennai
Tata BSS volunteers went to a government run school for underprivileged children called CSI primary school in Guindy, Chennai. Over 150 children were given an Herbal medicine called NIlavenbu Kashayam (in tamil) to prevent of Dengue and other flu. The same medicine was given by govt during Chennai flood too and is known to prevent flu & dengue. The volunteers also took a session on dengue awareness and explained its symptoms, precautions & prevention measures.

In a repeat effort to clean and restore the Keezhkattalai Lake, Team EFI is engaging the TCS Volunteers every weekend to clean the water bodies and sensitize the local community people through various art forms of Street theatre, community wall paintings.

In an effort to get the community better engaged, EFI has been using street theater, documentary screenings, gram sabhas and town hall sessions to inform-sensitize and increase participation in these projects. One such an effort is wall painting where various walls in Mudichur and Nanmangalam were painted with environment conservation concepts. The volunteers are continuously supporting their wall painting activities every weekend.

Based on the Education Audit Report conducted in the community of Chemmenchery, a big gap in the learning level on basic reading and arithmetic skills was found of every student. The volunteers are organizing weekly classes engaging them on activity based learning, movie screening and awareness sessions on health, hygiene and safety.

In an effort to strengthen the water bodies, the volunteers engaged with Team EFI in planting native origin species along the banks of lakes and ponds. They collected all the palm fruits and seeded them along the banks of Karasangal Lake.

TCS Volunteers have been volunteering with Team Everest for the last 10 weekends teaching them basic computer literacy and conversational English for the students of 7 & 8 in 3 schools. The volunteers conducted an assessment at Govt. High School – Thoraipakkam. The AXA client Mike joined in to understand the volunteering activities.
  Rice bucket challenge Tata Elxsi   |  Thiruvananthapuram
Tata Elxsi Thiruvananthapuram centre in association with Prathidhwani's (Socio-Cultural Organisation of Technopark Employees) organised a 'Rice Bucket Challenge' in connection with Onam celebration to extend a helping hand to under privileged communities around technopark and the needy non-IT employees in Technopark. The Rice thus collected was handed over to the office-bearers of Prathidhwani, which includes representatives from Tata Elxsi as well. In a short duration of a day, the team collected 150 Kg of rice which was handed over by the volunteers.
