Meal Distribution to the Homeless

The employee volunteers of Taj Resort & Convention Center and Cidade De, Goa and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Goa collaborated to volunteer to help the homeless and provided them with wholesome meal boxes. They served a total of 160+ individuals. As the volunteers made their way distributing the meal boxes and giving a message of hope and brightness, it was a delightful to witness the elderly and kids approach with joy and radiant faces.

100 towels and pieces of bedding were given to the residents of the Holy Family Home for the Elderly on Chorao Island in North Goa by a team from the Taj Resort & Convention Centre, Goa and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa. They also interacted with the elderly and made them comfortable and feel at home.

Beach Cleaning Drive

Volunteering Associates from Taj Resort & Convention Centre & Cidade De, Goa and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa paid a visit to the public Vainguinim beach fronting the façade of the hotel and cleared a stretch of 500 meters coastline of all debris and litter. The entire stretch of beach had been littered with varied garbage consisting of plastic, glass bottles, nylon nets, slippers, empty wafer packets and the likes thrown by the local public. The volunteering team took upon themselves to ensured the beach was spruced up and restored back to sanity by gathering a total of 10 bags of litter weighing 5 kgs each.

Road Cleaning Drive

|
An eager group of volunteers from the Taj Resort & Convention Centre & Cidade De Goa and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa associates volunteered their time to help clean up a 1 kilometre stretch of road in front of the hotel. The dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to clear the section of road of all trash and garbage, picking up various litter from the sides of the road. At the conclusion of the cleaning campaign, a total of 10 bags containing 2 kg each of litter were collected.

Hurry for honey

Local bee farmers were able to market their wares for a day inside the hotel thanks to volunteers from Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa. Over 50 jars of organic honey, coconut oil, fertilisers, and a wide variety of other bee wax-based goods were sold.

To slow the spread of this invasive species and protect the local flora, TCSRD, and CSR/CD department of Tata Chemicals organised a Gando Bawal Removal exercise on September 23, 2022 in Mithapur. Family members of the volunteers also took part in this activity. Volunteers gathered in a small group and enjoyed the roasted potatoes at the conclusion of the session.

For the Chennai Metro Rail Line Project, volunteers of Tata Projects organised a blood drive at our project site in Chennai with the Indian Blood Bank. The blood drive was successfully managed by organising team, and a team from the blood bank. The blood bank gave certificates of appreciation to every donor as a gesture of thanks.

Tata Power Solar volunteers together with Tata Coffee conducted a workshop on soap making for the visually impaired with support of Karnataka Welfare Association For Blind at Bangalore. 50 visually impaired individuals took part in this activity.

The volunteers from TPSNL spread awareness on clean and green India through a rally. They made posters and spread awareness in the neighboring villages along with students of the Vocational Training Centre in Kuruda, Balasore, Odisha

The volunteers of TMFL visited the Deaf and Dumb Residential School in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. They played games with the specially abled children and also danced with them. 60 students along with their teachers were a part of this activity. The visit concluded with lunch and distribution of winter wear.
