The volunteers focused on resume writing, email etiquettes and strategies to implement during job search. They also discussed job interview skills providing insights on workplace expectations, tips on preparing for interviews and grooming and soft skills such as communication, self-confidence, critical thinking, problem solving, flexibility, leadership skills and more.

This was followed by an interactive session where the volunteers understood the doubts of the students and provided solutions to overcome the challenges. Management games and entertainment program was also included in the session.

With the aim to sensitize women and men on effective menstrual health and hygiene management, a training was organized by Tata Metaliks volunteers in collaboration with Tata Trusts & CiNI, Jharkhand. The session included discussion on menstrual health, addressing myths and providing proper information on the issue. A session on cloth-pad stitching was also taken up for the rural women and young girls. They were explained the economic and environmental benefits of using a well-designed cloth pad. An effective way to dispose sanitary pads through the ‘matka incinerator’ technique using clay pots, and locally available materials were also taught to the participants.

The Session discussed the importance of identifying disasters or hazards particular to various location. Review the emergency plans to incorporate what’s worked in the past, a set of standard procedures to be aligned and this session was helpful on the front end of potential crises by recognizing, responding to and minimizing confrontational threats. This helped build an understanding among the participants the psychological or long-term effects in the aftermath of a crisis.
