Teachers’ day celebration

On 5th September 2020, Volunteers from Rallis India Limited, Lote Unit organized
an Online ‘Teachers day’ celebration for the teachers and conducted a ‘Speech competition’
with the students. A total of 67 students were present in the online celebrations
and 14 students enthusiastically participated in the competition.

Rallis India organized a drawing competition with students of Shenve Girls Ashram
School on the theme ‘Save Trees Save Water’. The Lote Unit of Rallis also organized
a drawing competition with students of Z P School, Lotemal, Lote on the theme ‘Environment
Protection’. 25 students from Shenve Girls Ashram School and 10 students Z P School
participated and drew beautiful drawings.

Handwriting competition for children

Rallis volunteers organized ‘Handwriting competition’ for the students of Shenve
Girls Ashram School near Shahapur. Students were asked to write 10 lines from their
Marathi book. 20 students actively participated in the activity.

On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Volunteers from Tata Consulting Engineers kicked
off TVW 14 with their first activity 'Meet and Greet teachers'. The company partnered
with Door Step School (DSS), an NGO who connected about 50 underprivileged kids
through video calls for an engaging activity. The students connected on video call
along with their teachers from DSS across 10 different locations. It was an engaging
session, as the volunteers shared the positive impact teachers have on their life
and motivated the kids to continue their studies. Some fun activities were also
organized which included preparing greeting cards or sketching for their teachers.

Along with NGO partner, ISST’s community Centre, TCE conducted ‘All About Banking’
online session with under-privileged children. 22 children benefitted with the online
session. The activity included basic banking information covering the importance
of documents required for opening an account, acquittance with different bank symbols
etc. Quiz was also held at the end of session as a refresher for the children.

Eco-friendly Ganesh idols

To sensitize the future generation towards environment, Tata Motors team has organized
eco-friendly Ganesh idol making workshop every year since 2015. Even the pandemic
did not let the volunteering spirit diminish. The volunteers of Tata Motors continued
with the initiative by distributing ‘Shadu mati’ (eco-friendly raw material to create
idols) packets and organized an online workshop to create beautiful Ganesh idols.
More than 200 kids along with their family enthusiastically participated in the
online eco-friendly Ganesh idol making workshop.

HIV Awareness session was organized by Tata Power volunteers at their Trombay location
for the contract labourers. This was the first online format session for the team
and was very well received by the participants and presenters.

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services
Ltd organized an online cultural programme with S.N High School & UHS Dugni (class
IX, X), Anadpur village students and JUSCO Super 20 [Batch- II ] students. The programme
witnessed the importance of guidance and education provided by teachers and sense
of gratitude was build n among the students for their teachers.

Awareness session for women

Volunteers from Tata Power-DDL in association with Prayas (NGO Partner) and ITI
Narela organized ‘ We Power’, an online session with ABHAs and female beneficiaries
of Vocational Training Center –Narela, Delhi. The objective of the session was to
motivate females to adopt technical fields for higher education. The session witnessed
the involvement of 49 participants.

Volunteers of Tata Power-DDL organized an online awareness session in association
with Eduquest (NGO Partner) for ABHAs. The session focused on Health and other issues,
with a special focus on COVID-19 related problems, prevention and precautionary
tips. About 23 beneficiaries were sensitized during this session.

IT awareness session

To create awareness on Cyber security, volunteers of IT Department of Tata Power-DDL
organized an activity for beneficiaries of Vocational Training Center – P4 Sultanpuri,
Delhi. The awareness session was conducted through presentation and small virtual
games on IT application and Cyber security for about 35 beneficiaries.
