The session covered all associated topics related to sanitization and were asked to share

with TMRCT Thunga Hospital in a village school of Shigaon. Free medicines were provided
to all patients.

A cataract camp was organized by Tata Steel in partnership with Shankar Netralaya.
The people suffering from cataract in the leasehold village areas of Tata Steel were
provided with free eye check-up followed by surgery. After successful completion of
surgery, the patients were provided free spectacles too.

Visit to a school

Six volunteers from G-Blast Furnace JDC visited a primary school in Bonta. They organized
a sports event for the students. The students participated in activities such as hitting
the stumps, balancing the spoon and basketball. The volunteers awarded the winners with
attractive prizes. Two footballs were also donated to the school.

A need assessment was done by six volunteers from Pellet Plant JDC at the primary school
in Bahardari to understand the requirement of the school and the students. This was followed
by a brief interaction with the students.
