TCS Maitree and Purpose4Life organized Beach and Lake cleanliness drives in various
parts of the city which included Besant Nagar Beach, Adambakkam Lake, Kazhipattur
Lake, Nanmangalam, Sholinganallur, Ayanambakkam, Arasankazhani Lake etc. The focus
was on clearing non-biodegradable trash like rubber, thermocol and polythene. More
than 140 volunteers took part in these clean-up drives.

Cyclathon

TCS Maitree and Purpose4Life organized a cyclathon in Arignar Anna Zoological Park,
Chennai where more than 100 associates participated. They were divided into 4 teams
each of 25 associates and they started cycling around the 600 acre campus visiting
all the 160 enclosures of the animals there. They carried placards having environmental
conservation messages to bring about awareness to the general public who visit the
zoo.

visited schools and donated 500 Eco-friendly Ganesh idol's to the school children

district. The team conducted games and distributed prizes to the winners. The volunteers
motivated the students to concentrate on their studies and reflected on their role
in nation building.

drive to visit an orphanage 'SPOORTHI ORPHANAGE HOME', Old Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam.
Volunteers interacted with children and discussed their areas of concerns and challenges
in their lives. Volunteers donated monthly provision and fruits to 50 children.
