Trent

Volunteers from Trent organised several activities during the volunteering week that were spread out among the company's stores in Kolhapur, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Surat, Thane, Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai. The employees interacted with women and children to bring some joy in their lives


  • Twenty five volunteers spent the day with the inmates of Sai Care, an old age home in Mira Road, Mumbai, and gave them snacks, refreshments and blankets
  • Fifteen employees organised a sports competition for the children of Father Agnel Ashram at Wadgaon Sheri, Pune
  • Differently abled kids from an NGO, Helpers of Handicapped, were invited to the Trent Hypermarket store at Kolhapur and a drawing competition was conducted for them
  • Ten volunteers arranged fun activities for children from the Centre for Development of the Differently Abled in Ahmedabad. Books and pens were also distributed among the students
  • Five employees conducted a one-day training session for 40 female vocational trainees, from Pace Training Centre, an NGO, in Pune, that conducts vocational courses for underprivileged women
  • Twenty volunteers invited children from Udaan Welfare Foundation in Thane, and provided them with an explanation on how the retail industry which was followed by the distribution of snacks
  • Twenty five employees visited  Kanifnath Astivang Vidyalaya Naregaon, a school for mentally challenged kids, in Aurangabad, and distributed food
  • Twenty five volunteers from Trent Hypermarket and Taj Gateway Hotel celebrated the Tata Volunteering Week with orphans from 4 to 14 years of Popawalla Orphanage Centre, Surat. They also engaged in several craft and drawing activities with the children
