Blood donation session

The team held their first blood donation session at Tata Steel in Shotton, UK. They
received 54 donations from 63 attendees, of which over ¾ were first time or lapsed
donors. The feedback from Welsh Blood Service was extremely positive. Typically
for a new session they would aim for 40 donations so they are more than happy with
this.

Volunteers from Ginger Hotel Mysore visited the Manasa Higher Primary & High School
located at Gayathripuram Mysore. They cleaned the school premises. They also encouraged
children to come to school daily, study diligently and respect their teachers, elders
and parents. The Assistant Hotel Manager explained the traffic rules. The Hotel
Accountant briefed the students about the environment & its maintenance. The Engineering
Supervisor taught the students about Electrical Safety & General First Aid. The
F&B manager taught the students about food hygiene and cleanliness. The GSA's briefed
the students about personal hygiene and distributed butter milk packets to the children.
The team also conducted the games.

village at Akola. The volunteers gave valuable information about the precaution
& care to be taken at home. The villagers were well engaged with session that they
called the volunteers at their home individually to assess the unsafe conditions
at the houses.

Tata Power-DDL volunteers organized 02 sensitisation sessions for the beneficiaries
of Vocational training centre, Narela and Sarai Rohilla in Delhi. The topics of
the sessions were energy & resource conservation, climate change, electrical safety
and tree plantation. ethics and moral values were also covered in these sessions.
The students whole-heartedly and enthusiastically participated and pledged to conserve
energy for a greener planet.

at Bistupur Jamshedpur to celebrate Women’s Day with all the female teachers by
presenting flowers and chocolates. They also spent time with students and explained
the importance of women empowerment. They also briefed the students about food hygiene,
cleanliness, personal hygiene and distributed snacks to the children.

class IV -VII students of Oriya Middle School. Volunteers informed about road safety
and other general safety measures. Moreover, they also showed a visual presentation
on ‘Road Safety Awareness, portraying different steps to be taken up to make the
city a safe place’. A quiz related to safety was also conducted and token gifts
were given to the winners. To raise commitment, safety pledge was also taken by
the students.

students of Utkramit High School Bhatia Basti, Kadma. The medical camp included
a general health check-up. Team of Doctors distributed vitamin and iron supplements
and necessary medicines and recommended further medical treatments. This camp also
included an awareness campaign where our team enlightened the students about health,
hygiene and sanitation. Volunteers also distributed sweets and played games with
the students.

School, Gamharia. Volunteers arrange a General knowledge competition session was
held in the school with students. Students were asked many questions. A quiz related
to General knowledge was also conducted and token gifts were given to the winners.
Volunteers distributed two hundred Mid- Day meal plates given for the school’s students.
They also played cricket with the school’s students for fun and enjoyment of students.

sensitized the community on ensuring safety from electrical hazards in day-to-day
life. Sparsh Cultural Club (City Circle) of Tata Power-DDL, organised a walkathon/
awareness rally at Moti Nagar, Delhi. It was a march to raise awareness in community
on importance of safety. 145 Volunteers whole-heartedly and enthusiastically participated
and pledged for safety.

by cycling as part of the daily routine. They shared the palm plates on cycling

Rallis Lote unit organized a “Women Empowerment” programme at Budhawadi, Ghanekunt
village. This session was conducted by Brahmakumaris of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya
Vishwa Vidyalaya, Chiplun. They spoke about the role of a woman, rights of women,
how to lead a good life, concentration of mind, human values, positive thinking,
etc. They gave examples of great Indian women and their contribution to the society
and the nation. They also celebrated the International Women’s Day and gifted roses
and steel bowl to all the families.
