The Estate organized a ‘Health Check-Up Camp’ at Batabari T.G. Govt. Pry. School. Health check-up of students from class I to Class IV was carried out by the Estate Medical Officer. The students were also explained about the need of adopting good habits for maintaining personal hygiene. Chocolates were distributed among the students.

Taj Krishna Hyderabad visited the Neerakshana which is 5 kms away from the hotel. The purpose of visit was to see the recycling process of soaps. Ten members are employed in Neerakshana they recycle the soaps, make bed sheet and pillow covers. All members who are employed there are HIV patients. It was a motivational and learning session for all the employees.

Employees of Estate Dept. of Tata Steel visited their adopted school at Dhusra and spent time with the primitive tribal children. The team took an awareness session on health and hygiene and emphasized the habit of proper hand wash. They also distributed some school stationaries.

An eye check-up camp and an awareness session on general hygiene was organized at RBC boys and girls hostel in Joda. In the camp total 57 boys and 80 girls were examined (vision test, torch light preliminary eye checkup and BP for girls above 12 yrs).

Volunteers from CRM visited their adopted school at Hatnabera and interacted with the students. They organized various sports activities and gave away prizes to the winners. They also painted the school blackboard.

A group of volunteers from HRM Division visited Sonari community Centre and took sessions on women health, women rights and basic domestic safety. They also organized quiz session for the community women and children.

TCL employees, family members and retired employees have embarked on a drive for conservation of the Mithapur wilderness and wildlife habitat areas to ensure protection of the local biodiversity. A program for collection of plastic trash and other waste was organised. The purpose of the program was also to create awareness on the diversity of flora and fauna in the region and the need for protecting the same. Programs under this drive shall continue through the week.

Tata Chemicals, Mithapur organized Eye check-up camp for trucker drivers. This camp was organized in association with Arambhada Truck association and Drawkashish Arogyadham. A total of 100 truck drivers were screened in this eye camp and given free medicine and glasses. The volunteers helped in the management of this eye camp.

Rallis Lote unit organized a session on first aid and summer diseases for the benefits of associates. This was conducted by the Occupational Health Centre In-charge along with the First Aider Team. The volunteers explained how to provide first aid for snake bite, dog bite (anti rabies), electric shock, electrolyte imbalance, fractures, bandages, shifting patients, burns, recover positions etc. The training session helped the participants to understand the importance of first aid to the injured and the way to provide first aid to the required persons immediately before shifting to hospital.

Rallis Lote team organized an electrical safety session for the workers of MIDC Lote. The safety team and electrical team voluntarily participated in briefing the importance of electrical safety. The team delivered a lecture covering varied points.

  Introduction to virtual reality technology Rallis India  |  Ankleshwar
 
An idea to introduce a VR (Virtual Reality) headset in Classroom for Students was initiated by one of an employee of Ankleshwar unit. Volunteers from Ankleshwar unit introduced a VR Headset to students of Nirmal Miriyam School. Students experienced Seven Wonders of World on VR. They enjoyed the view of 360degree videos and experienced new way of learning. Through VR Headset Students also learned Universal Space System and other Science Topic very easily. Such initiative made the learning enjoyable and interesting for students as well as teachers. Students explored faraway countries & take a virtual trip to Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China, Eiffel Tower and Pyramids of Egypt.

The Front Office Staff and Housekeeping Staff have been collecting Old Newspaper during entire month of March. The team donated the same to a Trust called MESCO who collect old newspapers all around Mumbai and use the proceedings to educate under privileged children’s in poverty areas of Mumbai.

Volunteers of Vivanta by Taj Hari Mahal Jodhpur visited Spicy Kitchen restaurant & a session on hygiene, servicing & culinary art. One volunteer shared his experiences and demonstrated on servicing of food to the guest, listening patiently every query, what are the grooming standards they should follow. After that another volunteer focused on personal hygiene and the disease caused due to the environment and how to maintain cleanliness & hygiene of kitchen raw materials, also of themselves using sanitizers, chemicals (for food). They also briefed the staff about the difference & concept related to health and hygiene. The restaurant chef learned few dishes from volunteers.

The team included volunteers from Finance, Front Office, F&B service, House Keeping, Human Resource and Training department members took up challenge of cleaning Mandore Garden sections. All the participants encouraged people to join their initiative, and then local members also joined us and contributed to the cleanliness of Heritage site.

Team Ginger Mysore visited Udhayagiri, Mysore and provided information about proper hygiene, cleanliness and health. They interacted with families, advised them to send their kids to school on daily basis and made them understand the importance of education. They also spoke to families and briefed on how to clean surroundings to prevent diseases like dengue and malaria. They distributed washed discarded linen to the people and biscuits to the children.

TCSRD Babrala organized a Science Exhibition Programme in a village house near Yara Fertilisers Plant, Babrala - UP. In this programme 30 students participated from five primary & upper primary schools. A team of 10 volunteers including ex-Tata employees, teachers of Yara DAV school & Nagalia Kazi school judged the models & prizes were distributed.

Tata Technologies conducted a collaborative activity with Tata Motors in Chander village households. The medical checkup camp was organized for village residents by doctors. Clothes donation drive was held and good conditioned clothes were collected and distributed. Boxes of cloth and utility items were donated to village households. This is second year Tata Technologies employees went and visited this village and conducted the donation drive.
