  Visit to an old age home Indian Hotels  |  Coimbatore
 
A group of volunteer from Indian Hotels, Coimbatore visited an old age home St Thomas Home near the hotel. The volunteers visited another Old Age Home at Alvania School; where they spent time with the residents. The volunteers let the residents share their experiences and interacted with them and also offered them ‘lost and found’ clothes which was freshly laundered. Some of the volunteers entertained them by singing Tamil songs. One of the trainees also danced to the music. It was really a joyous experience for all the hotel members.
 
  Cleanliness drive Ginger Hotels  |  Vizag
 
A group of volunteers from Ginger Hotels, Vizag participated in a cleanliness drive at Municipal School Dondaparthy, Visakhapatnam. The activity witnessed participation of 21 volunteers. The Headmaster appreciated the initiative undertaken by the volunteers.
 
  Session on the future of hotel industry Indian Hotels  |  Jodhpur
 
A session on the future of hotel industry was organized for students at Tata STRIVE centre. Approximately 27 participants had participated in the session. The session started off by giving an introduction and do’s and don’ts of the hotel industry. The participants were also briefed about the various opportunities and the factors contributing to the recent evolution in the industry, to measure the present and future of the industry and how the gap can be fulfilled. To make it more interesting and interactive videos were shown to participants in both Hindi and English. The session ended by showing inspirational videos and passing on motivating messages.
 
  Cleanliness drive and waste management Ginger Hotels  |  Noida
 
Team members of Ginger Hotels, Noida undertook a cleanliness drive in the vicinity. The volunteers also came together to spread awareness regarding waste management to their employees and also the nearby shops.
 
  Flagging off Tata Volunteering Week Indian Hotels  |  Udaipur
 
A group of members from Indian Hotels, Udaipur flagged off Tata Volunteering Week commemorating International Women’s Day. A community visit was organised at Theosophical Society’s School and Hostel for Children. The hostel is a home for children. The volunteers distributed household items among the children and organised games and other learning activities with a lot of zeal. The kids were gifted Pichkaris and other goodies to celebrate the festival of Holi. Refreshments were served to the children by the volunteers. During the activity, the HR Director and Executive Chef interacted with the in-charge of the home to know about their requirements which can be fulfilled by the hotel and to explore more opportunities for betterment of school. The experience was thoroughly enlightening for all the volunteers.
 
  Health & Hygiene awareness session JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
 
Volunteers organized a ‘Health & Hygiene’ session for the students of Abhyas Balika Vidyalaya where they enlightened the students on major topics on basic health and hygiene like Immunization, First Aid, Mosquito borne diseases and vector control, rabies and its prevention etc. A question answer session was also organized to clear their queries. Students were very enthusiastic and actively participated in this session and helped make this session a success.
 
  Safety awareness session JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
 
Volunteers organized a session on ‘General Safety’ for the students of teachers’ training school. They covered topics on road safety, home safety and preventive measures to instill the spirit of ‘Prevention is better than Cure’. Employees also spread brochures to create awareness among them. Students thoroughly enjoyed this session and interacted with the volunteers whole-heartedly.
 
  Women’s day celebration Rallis India  |  Dahej
 
At Rallis India, Dahej, the employee's spouses were invited for the women’s day celebration program. The women were trained in measures to take for home safety. Volunteers also undertook several games and activities with the participants. At the end, a cake cutting ceremony was organised. A total of 50 volunteers and 29 participants took part in the activity.
 
  Digital training at rural schools Tata Consultancy Services  |  Lucknow
 
The volunteers conducted a digital training programme at rural schools for the students. BriDgeIT is TCS' Affirmative Action program that aims to inculcate the culture of Computer Aided Learning (CAL) in the rural schools and promote digital entrepreneurship amongst the marginalized youth. During TVW7, TCS associates at Lucknow visited the rural schools in Sarojini Nagar block where the program is deployed. They interacted with the students and helped them with the elementary knowledge of Computers. The children amazed us with their creativity on laptops.
 
  School on Wheels Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
Tata Motors, Jamshedpur launched the 'School on Wheels' by gifting the children of Jamshedpur residing at the town, semi-urban areas and villages who are bereft of availing school education due to socio- economic hardships. The initiative will reach out to such children in distress who struggle hard by supplementing their families' income by sacrificing their right to education. The innovative initiative has been conceived with an element of flexible timing for catering to the children who cannot afford to wish away their daily menial jobs in lieu of availing education in view of the poverty and deprivation that they are engulfed in. The launching ceremony witnessed tremendous support from senior leaders and their spouses.
 
  Visit to primary school and village Tata Motors   |  Jamshedpur
 
A group of volunteers visited the Government Primary School at Kero village and encouraged the school children, their teachers and parents. The team during its earlier visit had assessed some basic needs of teaching materials, sports equipment, safe drinking water facility, electrical equipment and the much needed distempering and painting of the school. The volunteers interacted with the children, their teachers and parents and encouraged them for availing the Government's Education facilities while handing over their required materials procured through personal contributions. The team then headed to their adopted village Byangbil and shared updates on the women Self Help Groups (SHGs) activities being carried out at the village and discussed about the importance of health and education. They bought the handicraft items prepared by the SHGs and lauded the women who had adopted apiculture.
 
  Plantation drive Ginger Hotels  |  Mangalore
 
Team members of Ginger Hotels, Mangalore undertook a plantation drive. A total of 36 volunteers participated in the activity. The members planted saplings in and around the hotel gardens. All the volunteers participated in the drive with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
 
  Visit to Ramakrishna Mission Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
A team of volunteers from Tata Motors, Jamshedpur visited the boarding school being run by the monks of the order of Ramakrishna Mission. It is a school that caters to the children belonging to underprivileged families from Jharkhand and adjoining states. The volunteers had a humbling experience in relating to the school which had an environment of modesty, empathy, togetherness and pedagogy.
 
  Women’s Day celebration Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
Women’s Day was celebrated at Tata Motors, Jamshedpur. The occasion saw various discourses on women's issues and colourful cultural performances put up by various teams. As part of promoting women empowerment, three stalls were laid out for Neev, Flavours and Vikas Show Room, all social organizations supporting women artisans through sale of their products that attracted enthusiastic response from the participants.

A team of volunteers from Tata Steel, Tarapur visited Newale Patilpada and spent some time with the underprivileged students there.

The volunteers from Tata Steel, Tarapur in association with Tis Wish celebrated International Women’s Day along with the local women and contract employees. A cake cutting ceremony was held thereafter.

TSPDL volunteers of Jamshedpur went to Missionaries of Charity Orphanage where they played with the children, performed singing, dancing, showed cartoon movies and spent quality time with them. They also distributed milk powder for the children.
 
  Cleanliness drive at Cheshire Home JUSCO  |  Jamshedpur
 
Volunteers from JUSCO, Jamshedpur undertook the Swachh initiative at Cheshire Home, Sundernagar. The team used mapping and fogging techniques to curb dengue and took necessary measures like cleaning the surrounding areas, removing water in stored containers and filling in fresh water to avoid breeding of mosquitoes. Volunteers also distributed biscuits and goodies to the residents there and spent quality time with each of them.
 
  Skill development programme Ginger Hotels   |  Nashik
 
A skill development programme was undertaken at Ginger Hotels for Amro Hotel Management College students. A total of 29 students participated in the 4 hour workshop.
 
  Blood donation camp Tata Consulting Engineers  |  Bangalore
 
A blood donation camp was arranged in association with NIMHANS blood bank on Founder’s Day. A total of 56 volunteers came forward to donate however 49 units where donated. They also created awareness on advantages of blood donation and educated the employees on what basis units of blood could be drawn. To create awareness on TVW and Tata Engage programme, an e-contest was conducted through a mobile application. The volunteers participated enthusiastically. Prizes were arranged for the quickest correct answers.
 
  Safety awareness session Rallis India   |  Lote
 
The Safety Unit of Rallis India, Lote along with the Safety Manager and three volunteers organized a Chemical Handling Training session at Udyog Bhavan, LPIA, Lote for the contract workers of Lote MIDC Industries. Approx. 145 workers attended the training programme. The Safety Manager explained about various ways of safe handling the chemicals in any chemical plant by way of presentations, video clips and verbal discussion. At the end of the programme few workers expressed their willingness to work towards eliminating accidents while handling chemicals at workplace.
 
  Cleanliness drive Ginger Hotels  |  Bhubaneshwar
 
A group of volunteers from Ginger Hotels, Bhubaneshwar undertook a cleanliness drive at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir. 27 team member & 10 teachers joined hands to clean the entire school premises which is approximately 37,000 square feet. The drive included cleaning of 11 classrooms, 3 offices and the public area which includes a garden. The volunteers received an appreciation letter for the initiative from the school Headmaster.
 
  Radium stickers for safety of contract workers and villagers Rallis India  |  Akola
 
To inculcate the habit and behaviour of safe driving, Rallis India, Akola volunteers organised radium sticker pasting programme on the bicycles of contract workers and the villagers who frequently travelled on the national highways. Total 12 volunteers participated in the event and around 450 villagers benefited by the activity.

To create awareness about the importance of General Knowledge and Current Affairs a group of 6 volunteers from Rallis India, Akola organised a General Knowledge test for the students of Z.P.School at Shivar. A total of 45 students participated in this activity.
 
  Drawing competition Ginger Hotels  |  Agartala
 
Volunteers from Ginger Hotels, Agartala visited Bholananda Vidyabhavan Primary School, Kunjaban on and conducted a drawing competition among the students. The students participated with full enthusiasm and drew beautiful paintings. Prizes were distributed among the students.

A group of 23 volunteers from Ginger Hotels, Indore undertook a cleanliness drive. They undertook the drive at the service road near the hotel.
 
  Medical check- up JCAPCPL  |  Jamshedpur
 
A team of volunteers organized a medical camp at Jeevika- an NGO dedicated for the self-dependence of special kids. The kids are trained physically and mentally to help them support themselves. A medical check-up was conducted and the findings were communicated to the family members accompanying these kids for further actions for their improvement.
