Volunteers conducted a session on communication skills for the students of SETU pursuing the computer course. The session was interactive in nature and was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. These students belong from socially and economically weaker sections of the society and are mostly first generation learners.
 
  Visit to a school Tata Business Support Services  |  Munnar
 
12 Munnar Tata BSS volunteers visited Dare (Developmental Activities in Rehabilitative Education) school for differently abled children. They conducted various cultural activities for the students including dancing and singing. The volunteers were very happy to spend time there and the children were ecstatic. They enjoyed the entertainment programs and many participated in. Cakes and chocolates were also distributed to the students.
 
  Blood donation camp Indian Hotels  |  Hyderabad
 
Taj Krishna Hyderabad organised a Blood Donation Camp for all its associates in partnership with Red Cross Society. There were about 5 representatives who came in from the Red Cross Society Hyderabad, to organise the camp. All the associates were extremely enthusiastic about this initiative and were able to donate 65 units of blood to the Red Cross Blood Bank by the end of the camp.

  No Plastic Waste Campaign Coastal Gujarat Power  |  Mundra
 
CGPL volunteers have continued their endeavor with another village with same zeal and vigour. During the day, they joined hands with the community and interacted mainly with the shopkeepers and briefed about the menace of usage of plastic bags. They visited the household with the leaflets and appealed for cleanliness of the village. The volunteers were also very enthusiastic after getting the encouraging response from the community. The volunteers also visited the school in the village and made them understand about the most obvious environmental damage caused by solid waste to the aesthetics and ambience of public areas. The children were aware about the community ownership and their involvement for making the village clean.

As a step towards improving education of the underprivileged children, volunteers from Engineering Services visited Residential School, Dhusra and interacted with the tribal children. They took sessions on collective study and also organised a quiz session.

Volunteers from Ginger Hotel Agartala visited Tata STRIVE Centre at Agartala. They shared their experiences with the students and motivated them to excel in the hospitality sector. The students responded well and interacted with the volunteers.

A mega Blood Donation Camp was organised by Mechanical Maintenance JDC in which 100 units of blood were donated.
 
  Cleanliness drive Tata Consulting Engineers  |  Delhi
 
20+ volunteers from Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) - Delhi Delivery Centre undertook an initiative to increase the awareness on waste segregation and waste disposal among the general public. The volunteers of TCE visited Tikona Park, a popular joggers’ park in the Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and made efforts in cleaning up of non-biodegradable waste scattered all around the park and also briefed the general public on harmful effects of such wastes. The nearby food vendors were made aware of the harmful effects of plastic waste and the importance of keeping our neighbourhood neat and clean. The volunteers donated cleaning items to the caretakers of the park and requested them to maintain the park on regular basis by proper waste segregation and disposal. The general public appreciated this initiative and showed enthusiasm to take this forward with regular inspection and similar cleanup drives.

The volunteers AHEAD- School for Autistic and Mentally Challenged Children in Kolkata. The school organized a drawing festival wherein each child participated. The children also prepared a cultural program for the volunteers. They shared many happy moments with the kids and were privileged to be there.

World TB day was celebrated at Joda in which Tata Steel - Joda Employees participated. A Rally alongside of the huttings and colonies was taken out and awareness on Tuberculosis was deliberated by CMO and doctors of Joda Central Hospital.

TCSRD Babrala organised a Farmers Training Programme in Village Kalha & Village House, Tehsil – Gunnour – Disst. Sambhal - UP. Under Farmers Training Programme, 124 farmers participated from 25 villages.

Tata Steel Ltd. Global Wires, India (WD), CSR council in association with TMRCT Thunga Hospital, conducted a Free Health Check-up Camp for underprivileged village Khaniwade, Dhamatnepada. Total 37 patients were examined and general medicines were provided.

One volunteering team from TSPDL visited Welfare Society for the Blind (WSB), Kolkata. WSB gives various vocational trainings to the blind students like computer training, coaching/ guidance for preparation and appearing for various govt. competitive test exams, music teaching etc. Most of the students are visually impaired and have already graduated and preparing for various exams. TSPDL Volunteers team spent quality time by interacting with these visually impaired students. The volunteers organized Antakshari, General Knowledge, Audio Quiz programs for them. All students participated very enthusiastically and liked all these activities very much. In between the program our volunteering team served the lunch to the students. At the end of the day, winning teams got their prizes which made a glory and smile in their faces.
 
  Career counselling session Tata Interactive Systems  |  Mumbai
 
Volunteers from Tata Interactive Systems conducted a Career Counselling session for the Antarang Foundation. Tata Consulting Engineers supports the Antarang Foundation and organizes skill building sessions for young adults of age group 17 to 23 years. The youngsters are mostly school dropouts from the lower strata of the society trying to pick up the threads to continue education and take up jobs. As part of this initiative, TIS conducted a session around job roles in the e-learning industry with focus on Technical roles. The idea was to provide them with information regarding the wide range of jobs available under the umbrella of Technical jobs and to showcase how they are relevant across industries. Though the audience was aware of popular technology and common apps such as Whatsapp, Bookmyshow, and Facebook, the session opened their eyes to the wider application and possibilities of technology and associated jobs.

Singapore volunteers visited Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home in Singapore. The 30 elderly participants enjoyed the activities lined up for them and they even willingly joined in the karaoke session.
 
  Interaction with children Tata Consultancy Services  |  Kolkata
 
10 volunteers and 1 family member visited Tapassya and had a general interaction with the 20 beneficiaries. The volunteers also conducted some fun games for the beneficiaries. There were dance performances and poem recitation by the beneficiaries.
 
  Visit to a zoo Tata Steel Processing and Distribution  |  Jamshedpur
 
Volunteers of TSPDL, Jamshedpur visited the Tata Steel Zoological Park with the children of Sukhtara School. The children saw different kinds of animals and birds in the zoo. At first they saw animals like lion, tiger, elephants, zebra, deer, monkeys, apes, chimpanzee etc. They also saw different kinds of birds like peacock, parrot, dove, pigeon, cuckoo etc. After going round the zoo children sat under a tree and had food. All the children enjoyed the visit and had an amazing experience.

A group of 19 Volunteers team gathered together with an aim to help people in need with reusable linen & clothes. They visited Blind People’s Association – Ahmedabad and donated the collected linen.
 
  Education Enrichment Program Tata Technologies  |  Pune
 
Volunteers from Tata Technologies Pune location spent 2 hours of volunteering with Hinjawadi Village School children. With the help of Pune’s leading Skill Development Team called Smart Champs, Tata Technologies volunteers helped underprivileged students with 10 Brain Development Activities such as Color Track, Geometrical shapes, Match 38, Match -21, Mind Challenge, Brick to Brick, Brilliant Bricks, Tangram, Pattern Cube, Tangram. The objective of this activity was to help school children think independently and sharpen their problem solving ability. It also helped their Permutation and Combination ability and improve concentration, Creativity, Spatial Judgement.

Tata Memorial Hospital has been recognized regularly for the contributions made by the employee volunteers in saving lives in distress.

Tata Technologies in coordination with Pune City Connect and NASSCOM Foundation conducted a Financial Digital Literacy Program at Indira School of Business. This program is inspired by the motto “Each One Teach Ten”. Due to the Demonetization move, making people aware of the cashless methods of Transactions became the need of the hour. Waiting in banks and at ATMs to withdraw money, deposit payments into accounts was becoming more difficult than ever. People were giving up. And that’s when the idea of creating awareness about cashless modes of transactions.
