  Conducting health camps and interaction with the community Coastal Gujarat Power  |  Mundra
 
CGPL volunteers along with the Mobile Medical Van assisted a team of the doctors to conduct health camps for the village residents. The CGPL volunteers interacted with different communities while the doctors checked them. The village residents have been interacting with the team of doctors or the health professionals regularly, however the presence of the CGPL volunteers was a great surprise for them. They appreciated the concern for the social cause by the organization and applauded the efforts.

As a part of Government's Swachh Bharat initiative, a team conducted a cleanliness drive as part of the Tata Volunteering Week 6. The Hotel Manager along with a group of volunteers cleaned the picnic spot area at Dimna Lake. The three hours long activity was a demonstration of complete dedication to create a good environment.
 
  Blood donation camp Ginger Hotels  |  Vizag
 
Ginger Hotel & The Gateway Hotel Vizag teams participated along with their family members in a blood donation camp. The blood donation camp was conducted in association with Rotary club of Vizag. The camp saw turnout of 31 volunteers and 35 units of blood were donated by end of the camp. All donors were recognized with certificates and token of gifts on the spot. The Rotary also presented a memento to the Vizag team for their enthusiasm.

The volunteers cleaned the areas near the hotel including pathways, service lanes & footpaths. All the waste was collected in garbage bags and thrown in the garbage area made and maintained by the government. The team also went to nearby shops and places and made the owners/ people aware on how to keep the surrounding clean.

The volunteers pledged together to do small things with great love. They found the purpose of life by spending time and playing with the children. The volunteers also distributed pastries, snacks & clothes.
 
  Visit to an old age home Rallis India  |  Lote
 
A group of 6 volunteers visited the Matoshri Old Age Home at Khed. There are 10 inmates in the Old Age Home. They spent time with them and distributed blankets and fruits to them. This was a great experience for our Volunteers also.
 
  Blood donation drive Tata Business Support Services  |  Multi city
 
Over 120 Tata BSS volunteers from Mumbai, Jamshedpur & Hyderabad office donated blood. The donated blood will be mainly used for thalassemia children. Nearly 1000 thalassemia children are registered in the blood bank. Daily 30 - 40 children are given free blood and free transfusion in the blood bank. The volunteers felt great to be a part of this initiative.

A group of 5 Tata BSS volunteers planted saplings near the Kolkata office. They also created awareness about the importance of trees and gave gardening tips to the general public.

A group of 4 volunteers visited Bodhi Peet (a home for intellectually disabled children) and donated edibles, clothes, bags and chocolates. They interacted with the residents and learnt from their caretakers how to take care of themselves.
 
  Launch of TVW Tata Metaliks  |  Kharagpur
 
TVW6 was launched at Tata Metaliks by the Chief Operating Officer. He also motivated the employees to actively participate in all the volunteering activities. The department heads were advised to spare employees for the activities. Tata Metaliks also runs coaching classes in two primary School on a regular basis, which was appreciated by the community and parents.

Tata Metaliks employees celebrated Teacher’s day with students of Gokulpur Vidhan Chandra Vidhya Bhawan. Tata Metaliks is running two education initiatives in the school; Enhanced learning progamme for the student of class V, VI & VII and Extra coaching class for the class of VIII, IX & X. 1200 students are a part of these initiatives. The students presented a cultural progamme. Tata Metaliks honored teachers with a small gift as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work in shaping the future of children of the school. Tata Metaliks distributed school bags with study materials in Amba Primary School & Maheshpur Primary School to 400 students. The bags were distributed by an IPS officer along with all police officers of the District.

Volunteers from Engine Division interacted with the residents of Antyodaya Bhavan, the Old Age Home. The inmates have long lost connection with their families and they are old patients recently cured of leprosy. Some volunteers sponsored the meals for the residents and pledged to extend their support in whatever way possible in the future.

The employees of Tata Metaliks have started conducting drawing coaching class for 100 students in Maheshpur primary school. On every Wednesday they devote one hour for the class. There is no provision of drawing teacher in the Primary School. The attendance has also improved due to the intervention. The parents and teachers have appreciated the initiative of Tata Metaliks. The employees are also very much thrilled and are putting their effort in coaching the children.

Employees of different departments together visited the Dristi Samjik Sansthan where they interacted with 400 differently abled children and their teachers. The employees also distributed sweets to the children.

26 employees of Tata Motors voluntarily came forward and donated blood as a part of a blood donation drive organized at Tata Motors India Bulls Office in collaboration with Blood Bank of Tata Memorial (Cancer) Hospital.

The volunteers worked as a steward to celebrate eco-friendly and safe Ganesh Festival and support by collecting Ganesh idols, flowers and help in commutation management during Ganesh Festival.

A group of 26 volunteers from Tata sponge Iron visited a Tribal residential school in Gobindpur village of Joda block in Keonjhar district of Odisha, in which 144 students are pursuing their education. With an objective to empower the students, the officers made the students aware about their rights focusing on broad areas like; right to development, protection, participation and survival. All of them were encouraged to pursue their studies and grow as a responsible citizen. They were also motivated to maintain health and sanitation in the school campus and respect each other’s way of life. Same time, the teachers were sensitized to work towards making the school free from all forms of discrimination and an inclusive one.

Jamshedpur Team formally launched TVW6 with brief presentation and orientation for the Tata Technologies employees at Jamshedpur office. Former Founder & Ex-CEO of Tata Technologies motivated everyone and stressed on the focus areas, vision and mission of the CSR team. Former Vice president explained how Tata Technologies can become number one company amongst Tata Group in the field of volunteering. The 2 hour long program concluded with a pledge towards continuous support for volunteering initiatives.

Tata Technologies Lucknow team visited Drishti Samajik Sansthan which is a school and hostel for intellectually and physically challenged children. A team of 24 volunteers participated in 4 hour long activity guided by senior colleagues wherein they donated blankets and distributed snacks to the children. Everyone participated in the activity.

Tata Technologies Pune, J K Infotech Admin Team organized a blood donation drive for employees. A total of 45 employees participated and 26 blood units were collected from the employees. Total 179 blood units were collected from the two days drive.

Team Mithai4all organised an online competition for employees and explained them how they can help prevent water pollution by celebrating this festival by buying Eco friendly Ganesh Idols and immersing these Idols at their own homes in water containers instead of immersing in the local rivers. Many employees assured their support. Sweets and Modaks from Pune’s famous Mithai stores were distributed among the employees.
