  Making best out of waste products Rallis India  |  Mumbai
 
Rallis volunteers organized a training session on best out of waste for women of villages near Panvel. The activity took place at Kolkhe village in Panvel. The women were taught how to make Akash Kandil and Toran out of old clothes. The focus of this activity was to make understand the women that they can improve their skills with available resources. Volunteers also helped them in making Akash Kandil & Toran.
 
  Spending time with children Rallis India  |  Gujarat
 
The volunteers met special children at Asmita Vikash Kendra which is located in Tralsa (Bharuch, Gujarat). 70 children stay in the residential school where they are given basic education & knowledge to lead a normal life in mainstream. The volunteers danced along with the children.
 
  Examination kit distribution Tata Technologies  |  Pantnagar
 
Tata Technologies Pantnagar Team distributed the examination kit to 100 students in two different schools: Govt. High School – Turkagauri and Government Girls Inter college Fazilpur Mehraula – Rudrapur. In this program 70 girl students and 30 boys students were benefited.
 
  Shoes donation drive Tata Technologies  |  Pune
 
Tata Technologies CS Team organised Shoes donation drive for Pune location employees. Total 88 pairs of shoes were collected in 7 boxes and donated to Sahara Alhad Rehab center who will distribute the shoes with volunteers to needy people.
 
  Sports day for women Tata Metaliks  |  Kharagpur
 
The women employee team of Tata Metaliks Group organized a sports day for the women SHG members from the villages of Tata Metaliks CSR operational villages. 42 women from nine SHGs participated in this event. From Tata Metaliks family, 30 women including employees and wives of few colleagues had a friendly contest with SHG members in events like Marble & spoon race, 50 meter sprint, Bombing the city and Musical Chair. In this fun filled event, Tata Metaliks team guided the SHG members about each of the games and together participated in each of it.
 
  School Children Visit IUCAA (Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics) Tata Technologies  |  Pune
 
Tata Technologies volunteers took orphanage school children from Nachiket Balgram for a Scientific Visit and workshop to IUCAA, Pune. The objective of this workshop was to help children exploring more about the universe via films, slide shows, and activities. They found this visit interesting and learnt various topics such as Solar Energy creation, frequency count of Mobile phones and many more.
 
  Computer donation for a school Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
A new Lenovo computer with accessories including internet facility was given by volunteers of Team CCE led by the DGM to the Government Primary School at village Tupudang. The computer has been purchased with funds raised by a 16 year old daughter of a friend of one of the volunteers who is a pianist and organizes concerts for helping the lesser privileged. Team CCE arranged the internet facility, made the electrical connections and demonstrated to the teachers and children on operating the computer. Further training will be conducted by the volunteers in turns. With the computer installed, the school is the first Government school in the region which has turned digital and the school caters to largely children belonging to the Affirmative Action community.
 
  Distribution of school stationaries and sweets Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
Volunteers from PPPM led by the GM went to Government Schools at Bamnidih and Baijnathdih villages and distributed stationary items like school bags, erasers, instrument boxes, pencils, notebooks, charts and study materials to all the children. The volunteers had assessed the needs of the children based on which they procured the items and distributed. They interacted with the children and the teachers and encouraged them. These two schools serve children who are largely from the Affirmative Action community.
 
  Visit to an old age home Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
Employee Volunteers from QA went to the Old Age Home run by the Brahma Kumaris and spent quality time with the residents. The interaction with the volunteers brought some cheers in the faces of the residents. The volunteers distributed fruits and sponsored meals for the residents and thanked the selfless services extended by the Brahma Kumaris and care taking staff.
 
  Donating solar lamps Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
Volunteers from Tata Motors and Tata Power, as a joint collaboration, decided to help the children at two government Schools at Rajdoha and Byanbil villages. Hindered by the erratic power cuts mainly during evening time, the volunteers gave away over hundred solar lamps to the children. The children were encouraged to continue their studies diligently.

11 People from Ginger IRCTC went to a slums of New Delhi and distributed food amongst children with an objective fight hunger.

Employees from Medical & Administration Dept., Tata Steel, WB organised a health awareness session on Care during Pregnancy" for ASHA workers of Mandu Block. A team from Security Dept. visited Sarna Middle School and organised a health check-up camp for the students and team also played cricket match with the students.

A team from EQMS visited a Primary School in Chimti Boram to celebrate Joy of Giving. School stationaries and chocolates were distributed to the students. Tree plantation drive organised by the department. Employees from Corporate Strategy and Planning visited the Baridih Camp School “Masti Ki Pathsala” and interacted with the students. The team also adopted the school for a long term programme. A team from TQM visited Primary School Gagiburu for Joy of Giving Event. They interacted with the students and distributed school bags and chocolate to the students. A team from H Blast Furnace visited Bhadudih Primary School for Joy of Giving and distributed school stationaries like note book, pencil, water bottle etc. The Chief HRM interacted with the students and spent time with the children.
 
  Conducting a ‘Selling skills’ session for youth Tata Teleservices  |  Mumbai
 
The volunteer gave a brief synopsis of the session “Selling skills” to the Tata Strive students of BFSI – Business Development Executive”. The session covered - Success elements (KSA) of BDE in BFSI industry, Basic of Communications skills (Verbal and Nonverbal) and Understanding of Sales process and Sales pipeline. The program was designed to enable frontline Business Development executives (BDE) to be competitive in market with Finance & Banking product suite.
 
  Visit to an orphanage Tata Business Support Services  |  Bellary
 
35 volunteers visited Mother Teresa Orphanage & Destitute home wherein they spent time with the elderly residents. The volunteers also distributed cake, chocolates and fruits.
 
  Distribution of cloths & toys in slum area Tata Business Support Services  |  Delhi
 
5 Tata BSS volunteers visited Shadipur slum area which is home to migrated labours in New Delhi. They distributed clothes, stationaries, toys, and eatables to the residents. The young ones were very happy to receive the soft toys and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers.
 
  Plantation drive Ginger Hotels  |  Mysore
 
With an aim to contribute to the environment and provide a green coverage in Mysore city, 24 volunteers from Ginger Mysore planted saplings in Children’s Traffic Park at Mysore. Volunteers cleaned the park by collecting the waste water bottle, waste plastic. Staffs enjoyed their time volunteering together and giving back to Mother Nature.
 
  Conducting awareness session for youth Indian Hotels  |  Hyderabad
 
In order to extend support to Tata STRIVE, a team of volunteers from Taj Krishna, Hyderabad geared up to nurture the youth of Hyderabad by taking various sessions covering wide range of topics. On Saturday, L&D Manager conducted a session on change management. She briefly explained about change management and how people and teams are affected by an organizational transition. All of the students were amazed and appreciated the way she explained the topic which was very brief and apt as they have to be prepared for the future.

The volunteers from Ginger Hotels Regional Office, Kolkata collected books from their respective neighborhoods/ acquaintances and donated it to an Orphanage (Siddharth United Social Welfare Mission).
 
  Celebrating joy of giving Voltas  |  Ahmedabad
 
Voltas volunteers organized a visit ‘UTTHAN’, an NGO that provides training to mentally challenged people to lead a life with dignity with the maximum utilization of their capabilities. Voltas volunteers tied up with ISRO to conduct a visit for the children to an exhibition on Space Science & Technology, run by ISRO. The volunteers facilitated the visit, spent few hours with them to make them understand the space technology in a simple way.
 
  Health check-up camp The Tinplate Company of India  |  Jamshedpur
 
A Health Camp was organized by Tinplate Company at Nutandih Village under Hurlung Panchyat. A doctor along with a Pharmacist and 7 officers and staff from Tinplate Company Voluntarily conducted the camp where villagers and children of Nutandih Village were examined. They provided free medicines and health tips / Checkups for more than 100 people from the village.
 
  Visit to a non-profit Tata Consulting Engineers  |  Bangalore
 
The children from Asha Centre showcased beautifully painted designer earthen lamps in the office premises. Employees including management visited and bought the diyas and bags made by the kids. It was a great encouragement for the children and their creative abilities.
 
  Medical camp Indian Hotels  |  Jodhpur
 
A Medical Camp was organized at Sardar Samand Village. The medical team provided their best services to the villagers. After medical checkup medicines given to the patients on free of cost in the camp. Total 350 beneficiaries including male and female and children availed the benefits of the Medical camp.
 
  Visit to a school Tata Consulting Engineers  |  Delhi
 
15 volunteers from TCE Delhi Delivery Centre visited “The Saviour School” in Noida. The school caters to the learning aspiration of economically challenged kids. The activity started with interaction with students & faculty members followed by a learning session through ‘General Knowledge Quiz’ and ‘Basic Computer Literacy’ to enhance the learning capabilities of students. The volunteers distributed dictionaries and provided wall-hanging educational charts to the school. Volunteers provided tips to students on basic health and hygiene aspects. The water quality in the area is a concern and hence TCE donated a water purifier to the school to ensure safe drinking water for the students. Volunteers planted saplings within the school premises. The session ended with distribution of light refreshments for the students.
 
  Awareness session on environment Rallis India  |  Lote
 
6 Volunteers from Rallis India Lote Unit visited Z P School, Gavthan, Lote and conducted a training session on Environment Protection for the students of 1st to 7th standards. The volunteers made a power point presentation with video clips on Environment protection, types of pollution, steps to control pollution, noise pollution at schools etc. A total 63 students participated in the training session.
 
  Visit to an orphanage Tata Elxsi  |  Bangalore
 
A team of seven volunteers spent the entire day with the 21 children at Makkala Jeevodaya, an orphanage. Tata Elxsi is associated with this orphanage for several years. The day started with the team cleaning the entire campus. Games and quizzes followed. The team sponsored a good lunch for the kids and the staff members. Exercise books, pencils, water bottles were distributed to all as part of the games. Volunteers were amazed to see performances by the kids. It was a wonderful experience for all.
