Tata Technologies volunteers distributed mid-day meal food to school children. Volunteers along with Mid Day Meal Food Relief foundation centre Ravet, joined this activity to distribute lunch at school. Food Relief Foundation Ravet Centre ISO certified state-of-the-art kitchens which cater approximately 50 plus schools & 32000 plus school children mid-day meal every day. Senior colleagues along with 25 volunteers distributed mid-day meal to school children.

The objective of the School and Teaching Excellence Program (STEP) is to provide ease of learning for children from economically challenged communities through technology intervention that encourages STEM learning. E-learning Kit includes schools syllabus based on Maharashtra State Board curriculum in Marathi and English mediums from 1st to 10th standards with all major subjects. E-Learning Kit gives hundreds of preloaded applications required for a versatile growth of children by developing their analytical-creative skills, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills. Senior leaders along with 25 volunteers donated the kit to Aabaji Rambhau Bhumkar School. Hinjawadi, Wakad.

Tata Technologies Jamshedpur team organized Drawing competition for Manav Vikas School student. Drawing sheets and crayons were distributed by employees to students and various themes. Chocolates and snacks were distributed as a token gift towards their participation by the volunteers. 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes were given to students at every class respectively. Volunteers spent joy time with the children and experienced the feeling of being connected with children.

Volunteers from Tata Technologies Pune location spent 2 hours with Hinjawadi Village School children. This activity was organised with the help of Pune’s leading Skill Development Company called Smart Champs, Tata Technologies volunteers played Hexagon puzzle and Brick2 Brick puzzles with Aabaji Rambhau Bhumkar School students of 7th & 8th class. The objective of this activity was to help school children think independently and sharpen their problem solving ability. This activity will also help their Permutation and Combination ability and improve concentration.
 
  Cleanliness drive TML Drivelines  |  Jamshedpur
 
A mass cleanliness drive was conducted in the South Gate Market, just outside the Tata Motors Ltd. Plant wherein more than 300 volunteers from across different functions and Bus of TML Drivelines showed up. Plastic waste and kitchen waste were broomed away and clogged drains were rendered clean. Next, the teams focused on the market area. Here, the volunteers took time and interacted with the shopkeepers and counselled them on how cleanliness could earn them more customer and also benefit the community as a whole. They shared their concerns about mosquito and snake infestation in certain areas of the market which were then cleaned and sprinkled with bleach powder. TML Drivelines also donated 10 drums to the shopkeepers, kept in regular intervals in the market lane, to be used as dustbins. To sustain the cleanliness of the areas, the volunteers also hung banners propagating Gandhi’s dream of Swachh Bharat.

9 Volunteers of Titan Company Limited and one volunteer of Tata International Limited partnered with an NGO - Diehard Indian and went to Reay Road Station to plant saplings (Gulmohar, Ashoka) and put cleanliness stickers on the floor of the platforms. They also took signature pledges from commuters that they will not spit or litter.

Volunteers from Tinplate Company visited the village remedial class at Nutandih Village, under Hurlung Panchayat. This remedial class has 40 students with two teachers, who take care of the educational needs of the students. Most children are school dropouts and come from the underprivileged section of the society. The volunteers distributed study materials like Notebook, Pen, Pencil, Eraser, Chalk and Biscuit Packet to the students to keep them motivated.

The Managing Director along with 22 volunteers of TSPDL spent a whole day with elderly people at Tollygunge Homes. The program consisted of singing performance by the volunteers, dance competition, fun filled games, Housie, musical performance & sumptuous lunch etc. The day long program ended with an enchanting performance by the MD with Guitar & old western popular numbers. The inmates of the old age home enjoyed the day thoroughly.

The Security department of Joda West Mines, FAMD organised a Swachch Bharat Abhiyan - area cleaning drive at Bichakundi Jagarnnath Temple, youth club and local basti area. They cleaned the premises of temples and community club, collected and disposed the garbage, cleared the drainage and spread the importance of cleanliness in masses. Local community and councillor of area also joined the drive with enthusiasm. A volunteer from Malda organized a cleaning and plantation drive in consultation with the village and temple committee at Lord Shiva temple at Kattasahi Village. He cleaned the temple premises, floors, river ghat, pilgrim resting areas and plantated trees near the ghat area and temple premises.

A team of volunteers from TSPDL visited the Janak Sewa Samiti, an NGO working for old age people. The team of volunteers comprised of people from Senior Management to Junior Management level. The volunteers not only played games with the elderly People, but also gathered a vast experience of life from them. They played Ludo, Cards, Tam bola with them & also had gala time with tea and snacks. They were quite excited to share their ideas and views with us. The volunteers spent around with them for at least 5 hours.

A group of members visited RBC (Residential Bridge course) a program run for ‘out of the school’ children by TSRDS. Course material for std. I to IV were distributed among the children and also blood grouping, Eye scanning and Dental check-up was done for all the children.
Multi-Speciality Health camp was organised in Bhelatand where 560 patients availed health services. Health services were provided in the following Specialties: General Medicines, ENT, Skin, Dental, Pediatrics, and Gynaecology. Homeopathy.
A team from West Bokaro organised a Health Awareness session on personal hygiene. They also interacted with the anganwadi workers.

A group of employees from Finance and Accounts visited the school of Hope and spend very joyful moments along with the student of the school.
HRM team of Noamundi visited to Middle School at Noamundi Basti and interacted with the Students of the School took awareness session on education and hygiene and also distributed stationery and Chocolates.
Employees of Engineering & Projects department spent the day with underprivileged children of Primary School, Burudih. During their last visit, the team had committed to provide benches & desks to school. Team donated 16 benches and desks to the school.
Finance & Accounts JDC sponsored dinner and served the dinner to the leprosy patients and spent some valuable time with them.

For promoting plantation of tree plantation, fruit saplings were distributed to employees, their family members and general public on the occasion of Shree Vishwakarma Puja. The plant lovers were given tips on how to plant the saplings and nurturing methods.
A stall by a non-profit was put up during the occasion of Shree Vishwakarma Puja inside Tata Motors Works. Employees and their family members were encouraged to purchase the utility items. The proceeds from the sale of the utility items prepared by the women would help them plough the money back and sustain their livelihood.

The employees of HR, Safety, and Security & Admin counselled and gave detailed presentation to around 80 students of class 12th of RU Ashram Inter College on basic road safety. The volunteers provided general do and don’ts of road safety.
 
  Cleanliness Drive in a village Tata Motors  |  Lucknow
 
The volunteers conducted door to door awareness in one village of Barabanki District sensitizing people about the sanitation and cleanliness in order to protect dengue and other diseases. The volunteers along with the Village Pradhan counselled the villagers and children of the primary school on need of cleanliness and hygiene. They were also involved in the fogging drive aimed at dengue protection conducted in the village.

A Safety training Program was organized for students of Industrial Training Centre, Male guiding them on various safety measures while working in industry. The program was conducted by the Group Head – Safety at Tata Power, Hydro. The volunteers mainly focused on need of Safer working habits & following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment's) at work place. This will almost eliminate 88% of accident causes & preventing any damage to Human Life or Machine or Property and helps in creation of improved working environment with better & better work-quality technique leading to enhanced productivity.

Employee volunteers made door to door visits at the residences and apprised the house wives and family members on ways to conserve electricity and water. The employees visiting were well received and heard.
 
  Support to the Malnutrition Treatment Centre Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
Employee Volunteers went to the Malnutrition Treatment Centre and spent time by interacting with the mothers of severely acute malnourished (SAM) children undergoing treatment. They made an assessment of basic requirements of the mothers and the children with the help of the care taking staff and committed to contribute. They thanked and encouraged the mothers who come with their SAM children from far flung villages.
 
  Distribution of Akansha Scholarship Tata Motors  |  Jamshedpur
 
Employee volunteers went to the Primary Government School at village Luadih and distributed Akansha Scholarship to needy and meritorious students belonging to Affirmative Action community. The scholarship would help the tribal children pursue their education by buying note books, pencils, erasers and the like. The volunteers organized sports amongst the children and took sessions on health and hygiene.
 
  Health check-up camp and awareness on electrical safety Tata Metaliks   |  Kharagpur
 
Kunjochak is village in the District Paschim Mednapur in West Bengal. 100% population of this village belong to SC/ST communities. The literacy level is very low. In view of the above fact and circumstances Tata Metaliks regularly organize Health Awareness & health check–up Camp for the residents. Tata Metaliks organized a general health check-up camp for the villager wherein 80 villagers were examined by two doctors and medicines were provided to the patients.
It has also been observed that due to illiteracy, villagers often meet with electrical accidents in the village. Keeping this in mind, the employees of Tata Metaliks started the initiative of awareness on electrical safety through skit in village and school. One skit of 45 minutes was organized in village Kunjochak by a team of employees. They requested to organize such skit regularly for awareness on the subject of health, electrical safety & environment population.

Tata Communications, Mumbai volunteers spent a day with elderly people in an Old Age Home. The objective of this visit was to spend quality time with senior citizens and have some entertaining games and activities to make their day memorable. There were around 20-25 elderly women who participated in the program. A small energizer activity set the theme for the day. The day was followed with different games like; antakshari, guessing the song etc.
 
  Quiz competition for children Tata Communications  |  Pune
 
Tata Communications (TCSPL) Pune team organized a quiz with school kids. They invited 31 children aged 8-10 years from Dighi, Bopkhel and Ramnagar villages to the TCPSL office where they were delighted by a demo of an ATM. This was followed by a session on leadership and a quiz competition. Volunteers spent quality time with the children who went home extremely happy with awards and gifts.

Ice bucket challenge made its mark in the era of slacktivism. At Tata Communications, through Rice Bucket challenge, came up with an engaging initiative to donate Rice to the communities and the schools around our campus. Rice bucket challenge proved to be a perfect blend of Fun+ Social Cause + Ease. They successfully donated around 152 kgs of rice within hours of initiating the campaign. The campaign continues to grow with large number of volunteers donating rice in slums and orphanages.

A team of 9 volunteers conducted the clean Ganga Drive at Rajghat – Babrala Distt. Sambhal UP. All the garbage near the ghat was collected and taken away and dumped at a marked place.
 
  Visit to a non-profit Tata Communications  |  Pune
 
The volunteers visited Pani Panchayat, an NGO working on Sustainable Rural Development through Equitable Distribution of Water, Organic Farming, and Health & Education. Tata Communications, Dighi, Pune volunteers visited Pani Panchayat to spend a day working in the organic farm, cook with the community and learn about watershed development. It was an enriching experience for volunteers as they got the first-hand experience of how food is grown. Volunteers also learnt that, farming, a job which looks so plain and simple on the surface can be really daunting and exerting. A session on watershed management, water footprint was an eye opener for all. Cooking for the community, working on the farm, knowledge sessions etc., the day offered a complete gleeful experience to the volunteers.

4 volunteers of Tata Capital reached Juhu Beach to clean the beach areas and surrounding area post Anant Chaturdashi (Ganpati Visarjan). The drive was carried out for 2 hours and all the volunteers collected cloth, plastic and other waste into garbage bags. They were also joined by other groups from NGOs and Coast Guard to help clean the beach at the occasion of International Coastal Clean-up Day.

With an aim to contribute to the environment and provide a green coverage in & around Tata BSS, several flower and fruit bearing trees were planted in Munnar. Volunteers also conducted sustainable themed engagement activities in office and promised to take care of the sapling to check if it’s regularly watered and gets enough sunlight.

6 volunteers of Tata Capital came together to clean the Girgaum Chowpatty post Anant Chaturdashi (Ganpati Visarjan). The volunteers gathered at 7.30 am and conducted the activity for 2 hours and collected the cloth, plastic and other waste into garbage bags and felt proud of their achievement.

Rallis Volunteers have organized bridal make up competition for women group of villages near by Panvel city who have completed Beautician training course. Trainee Beauticians prepared their models very beautifully with makeup, sari draping and hair style. The volunteers in role of judges judged them on various parameters like type of makeup, fineness in sari draping, grace in hair style, all preparation in available resources and time management. Based on all these parameters four best models were rewarded with beauty material to motivate them for starting the business.

Rallis Volunteers organized a Career Guidance seminar through Sarathi Institute for 10th and 12th standard girl students of Shenve tribal Girls School near Shahapur. Volunteers interacted with students about their future career but students were little confused on this but this seminar clarified various queries in respect of career opportunities after 10th & 12th and helped increase their self-confidence.

Rallis India volunteers with Tata Realty volunteers visited two tribal villages Kalam Pada in Vikramgarh and krmirre in Jawahar. The visit was organized in coordination with the NGO “All India Local self-government”. Volunteers interacted with villagers. The General Manager, Corporate Sustainability met many villagers and discussed about their concerns for daily survival and also assured to give best support required for their betterment. Volunteers inaugurated two Shkshan Ranjan Kendras which will provide additional educational support to children in villages. Volunteers interacted with teachers about best educational facilities to be given to children. Children from villages were given health & hygiene awareness through puppet show. Representatives of All India Local Self Government focused on importance of clean drinking water through street play. Activity concluded with tree plantation and cultural dance of villagers.

Rallis Volunteers organized a visit to Zilla Parishad School Bhingar. The event was all about story telling with the students of 7th & 8th standard focusing to develop reading habits. Volunteers shared interesting inspiring stories of successful personalities. Students tried to read the stories in English and also shared Marathi moral based stories. Activity concluded with the assurance of one hour of daily reading from the students.

A group of six volunteers from Rallis India Lote Unit visited 'Jidda' School, running for the disabled children at Chiplun. They organized a yoga competition for the students. With the help of the volunteers and their teachers, the competition was conducted. At the end of the session prizes were distributed to the winners. They also distributed sweets to the children.

Rallis Chandigarh office along with local Sales Executive participated in tree plantation in Sector – 50 of Chandigarh. The aim was to develop the place into green belt. The tree plantation was done under the guidance of Horticulture Department, Chandigarh. Students were explained the importance of plants in our day to day life.

Rallis Akola volunteers visited R.D.G.Collage for Women at Akola and conducted an awareness session on Road Safety. This college is situated at N.H.NO.6 and looking at the importance of Road Safety to college students who mostly neglect the Road Safety and violate the regulatory requirements. The programme was very useful for these students and around 300 girl students benefited by this programme.

Rallis volunteers organized a “De-addiction Awareness” Programme at Budhwadi, Songaon village. This de-addiction session was conducted by representatives of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyakaya, Chiplun. They talked about good family life, adjustment in family life, concentration of our mind, importance of yoga, use of alcohol, tobacco items and its bad impact on human body and brain with many examples. There were 34 villagers present in the awareness programme.

Rallis Akola volunteers visited Maanav Engineering College at Akola and conducted a training session on Fire Safety. To have good knowledge and operating exposure to the Engineering students, demonstration of Safety equipment were organised. The students showed keen interest in operating the equipment.
 
  Cleanliness drive Indian Hotels  |  Nashik
 
On the occasion of World Tourism Day, The Gateway Hotel staff cleaned the inside and outside of the hotel. The staff assembled at the designated assembly area where the General Manager distributed the Swachch Bharat pledge among all the participants. The volunteers divided themselves into three groups and each team started the cleaning of their given area. In the end they cleaned the periphery of the hotel and nearby areas. About 33 kgs waste was collected in form of plastic wrappers, cups, and other waste. The bags were handed over to the NMC garbage truck for proper disposal.

Ginger Mumbai conducted a blood donation drive in collaboration with Holy Spirit Hospital. Total 22 participants came forward for the cause. 15 team members qualified to donate. The participants were awarded with certificates and donor card.

Plantation of Sapling was conducted by the staff and Partners of Ginger Hotel Guwahati on the divider in Six Mile VIP Road Upper Hengrabari. 10 employees including Hotel Manager participated in this activity & enjoyed it. The Ginger Guwahati Team planted 10 saplings throughout the area and educated the community on the importance of plantation.
