  Dental check-up program Tata Tinplate  |  Jamshedpur
 
A Dental check-up program for 100 students of grade 2 & 3 of Tinplate Muslim Middle School was organized. A Dental Surgeon from Tinplate Hospital examined all students. Dental health conditions of 100 students were captured which would subsequently be sent to their parents to seek medical attention of those children having severe dental problem. Medical team from Tinplate Hospital along with volunteers from TCIL participated in the program by providing support service and explaining students about good dental health practices & oral hygiene. A set of Dental Kit was provided to each student.
 
  Course Book Recording for students with visual disabilities Tata Teleservices  |  Delhi
 
Vice President – Strategic Alliances along with a family member supported Blind Relief Association, Delhi in voice recording of course books in Hindi for students with visual disabilities.
 
  Career counselling Tata Teleservices   |  Noida
 
One volunteer from Tata Teleservices’s Noida office conducted a workshop covering various aspects of job hunting such as usage of online job portals, communication and interview skills. In his workshop he included a live demonstration of creating a profile on job portals and social networking site- LinkedIn. Importance of body language and other aspects of effective communication along with the do’s and dont’s of an interview process were also explained. The students were excited and hopeful to get a job after the session.
 
  First AID Kit distribution and health safety talk Tata Technologies  |  Pune
 
Safety is as simple as ABC: Always-Be-Careful. Tata Technologies Admin Team organised a talk on personal safety for village school children at Hinjewadi. A Demo on how to use First Aid Box was given by an authorized doctor at Medical Centre of Tata Technologies. Senior officers from Admin department along with employees volunteered for this program.
 
  Soft Skill Session for college students Tata Technologies  |  Pune
 
Tata Technologies’ employees provided soft skill session to college girls of final year. The aim of the program was to help the young women attain more confidence, self-belief and help them realise the importance of setting goals in life and work towards achieving them.

More than 20 volunteers from Tata Steel Head Office, Mumbai along with the Company Secretary participated in raising the awareness of the community to achieve clean public space and ways to reduce carbon foot print. The volunteers walked with the placards at Marine Drive displaying the slogans and shared the knowledge with the community about consequences of unhealthy environment and benefits of clean environment. They also created awareness among pedestrians and other passer-by around and some of them joined them in furthering the cause.

8 employees of Tata Motors took part in the drawing competition activity for the students from 1st to 5th Standard in collaboration with Thane Municipal School No-43, Thane. Volunteers distributed the gifts to the first three drawing from each standard.

Volunteers form the team Pantnagar focused on craft skill through coaching and workshop. The volunteers conducted a special coaching class for the girls residing in the orphanage. The volunteers supported the craft skill and music talent of the girls residing in the government girls inter college.

Employees of Machine Spare & Procurement and TRIM Store conducted a door to door awareness in one village of Barabanki District sensitizing people about sanitation and cleanliness in order to protect themselves from dengue and other diseases. The volunteers also counselled the villagers and children of the primary school on need of cleanliness and hygiene.

Fire Officer of the Tata Motors Lucknow, conducted a two-hour session on Fire safety for the class 12th Girls and teachers of RU Ashram Inter College. The session involved the sharing on general fire safety at Home and at Schools. It was followed by practical session involving the students.

Volunteers visited Padma Adarsh Higher Secondary School at Sriseri, a school for destitute children. The team, the 275 students and 25 staff members had good fun through team games and other activities.

Volunteers demonstrated how to make use of old newspapers to make paper bags. All the volunteers went to each floor educated all the employees to make paper bags and created awareness on “Say no to Plastics”.

  Cleanliness Drive Tata Capital   |  Thane
 
12 volunteers of Tata Capital, Thane reached Kopri creek to clean the surrounding area of creek post Anant Chaturdashi (Ganpati Visarjan). The drive was carried out for 2 hours and all the volunteers collected the cloth, plastic and other waste into garbage bags. They also encouraged and motivated other groups present to celebrate the festival with eco-friendly idols, not to throw garbage in the lake which will not only make the festival more vivacious but also helps in preserving our ecological imbalance.

Volunteers from TGBL-Water plant at Dhaula Kuan, H.P. organized an annual sports meet of primary schools of cluster level. As the primary schools didn’t have a playground, volunteers from TGBL- Water plant prepared a ground outside the plant for the event in a short period. The event consisted of many games like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Long jump, 50m, 100m, 200m sprint, volleyball, in which 93 students of 7 primary schools took part. Trophies, medals and stationery items were distributed among the winners, runner-ups and participants. After the event refreshments were given to the children.

8 Volunteers participated in World Deaf Day Rally to promote understanding among common people about the problems of deaf people in the community and to promote human rights about equal access to the education and modern technologies. Rallis CSR Volunteers helped in managing Traffic/safety/distributing the awareness pamphlets and helping the students who are below six years old to walk in an orderly and safe manner on the road.

Rallis Akola volunteers conducted a Road Show on Safety & Environment awareness in the Akola City. The volunteers sang a safety song, performed a street play on climate change and displayed various posters.

Considering the importance of English language and its need for the students who belong to villages like Shivani, Shivar, Rallis India Akola volunteers initiated the English Literacy Programme at Z.P.School, Shivani, Z.P.School, Shivar and Blue Lotus Convent, Shivani. Total around 85 students benefited through this initiative.

16 volunteers from Ginger Trivandrum turned up for the beach cleaning campaign and were able to collect lot of general waste, glass, empty plastic bottles and aluminium cans etc. Ginger Trivandrum has made this bold move in initiating this beach cleaning campaign in order to become a model for the rest for not only to clean up the environment but also to involve in activities that benefit the community. Ginger Trivandrum Beach Clean Up campaign aims to improve tourists' experiences, make the coastal areas safer and cleaner for both beach-goers and marine animals alike, to provide employment opportunities for previously unemployed individuals and to boost the coastal economy during the festive season.

Team Ginger Mysore organized a blood donation camp at the Hotel wherein a team from Jeevadhara Blood Bank (A unit of Cauvery Social Services Trust, Mysore) visited the hotel explained the importance of Blood donation and collected the donated blood. The camp witnessed inflow of over 20 enthusiastic volunteers. Due to varied health precautions only 15 volunteers were found eligible to donate blood.

5 Volunteers including the MD & CEO and COO visited an old age home. The volunteers spoke to each member in the house and heard their experiences. The volunteers were extremely delighted to spend time with them.

The Ginger Hotel Katra team distributed lunch among the children & elders, with an objective to fight against hunger & lighten up the day for them. 15 volunteers from the hotel team distributed food among the school children and street dwellers.

Staff from all the various departments were very excited to plant the Fruit Trees in and around the Ginger Hotel Bhubaneshwar campus. The horticulture vendor partner provided 10 different Fruit Trees and each department was responsible to plant one tree and will continue to maintain and take care of the up keeping of their respective trees until they start bearing the fruits of their labor.
 
  Road safety awareness Ginger Hotels   |  Bangalore
 
The volunteers visited Rickshaw bay located next to the hotel and briefed them about the importance of road safety. Few inputs on hygiene and grooming were also discussed along with Basic English communication tips. It was a good interaction and the drivers told that these tips will help them in serving best to their passengers.
 
  Cataract screening camp Amalgamated Plantations   |  Assam
 
The volunteers of Namroop, TE organised a Cataract Screening Camp in partnership with Lion K.K. Saharia Eye Hospital, Dibrugarh, where 72 cases were examined and 43 cataract beneficiaries were identified for cataract surgery. The Team brought their own vehicle to transport the patients to Dibrugarh for the surgery to be conducted. Lion K.K. Saharia Eye Hospital will conduct the surgery free of cost for the cataract cases including giving free food and hospital stay for 2 days.
